I think the bigger point that gets missed making this a discussion of IP in the parks - EPCOT IS DISNEY!!

Y'know, I wish Disney would find the ideal balance of incorporating Disney and IP onto Epcot without sacrificing the spirit of the park. The new Journey of Water attraction seems exactly what I'd think would work best for the park. Have the Disney characters sure, but have them TEACHING something or allowing guests' creativity and imagination shine through.

FEA could've easily been a history of Norway and about the culture and traditions, but told by all the characters in their style so as to keep everybody interested. They could easily change up the audio to provide various facts, so each ride through would be just a bit different. That drop towards the end of FEA with Marshmallow? Have Anna and Elsa talk about Norway's waterfalls while slightly teasing of the impending drop. That's a perfect example. I think that'd be a nice compromise, but what do I know? I just post here.

You know, I’m pretty meh on the park announcements and bracing myself for Sunday to see how different Epcot will be...

But WOW am I ever excited for Disney+. I can’t remember the last time I looked at something Disney did and thought wow, they are absolutely hitting this one out of the park. And at an affordable price point too. This is all a trap, isn’t it? They’re roping us all in lol.

And I’m way more excited than anyone has the right to be for Lizzie McGuire. Epcot who??

So for those interested in Disney Plus - they announced D23 members can sign up for $140.97 for 3 years (23 dollars off per year). We signed up at the Expo, but you DON'T have to be at the EXPO. And some people were saying that you can sign up for the FREE D23 and still get the Discounted rate. (Though I do not know for sure if this is true - but what I heard.)

We have Stagepass for Movies tomorrow and Parks on Sunday - so I'll keep posting updates if I can - they were allowing photos but no videos at Disney+. Posted some photos on my instagram - Skierpete23 - if anyone wants to follow along. Don't typically have great seats though with stagepass since Gold queue gets in first.

WHAT. I never thought they would have a She-Hulk project. Especially with Gamora in Guardians I assumed there was only room for one green woman in the MCU! Very excited. The font makes me think it might be 80's-tastic, and of course 80's She-Hulk is the best She-Hulk.

As a Star Wars/Marvel fan there is hype. That being said if I think as just a simple Disney fan there is zero hype from today. There is zero animation options on Disney Plus being released.

Disney from my view is known for their kids animated movies and shows. There was not even a hint of anything today that I caught.

I really like Slott’s ‘04-‘07 run.

Slott's run was fabulous but 80's Shulkie isn't bad either. Heck I even like the more recent series they did with the weird art. Shulkie is just always good. I'm hoping honest to God for Nightcourt with Shulk and Hellcat and maybe Daredevil cameos.

From my limited Star Wars knowledge I think this is a cheap shot at Lizzie McGuire

But for real I’m also really excited for what I hope is going to be tons and tons and tons of the older Disney TV shows and movies that I can introduce to my kids to. Also going to be really really cool to have everything Disney at our fingertips. The older stuff isn’t really in the flashy announcements, but I am so pumped for what I hope is an extensive library of almost anything Disney we could ever want to watch. What is more pure Disney than that?

And the prospect of specials like One Day at Disney? Can’t wait!

So as a Disney fan what has you hyped? Not a Star Wars or Marvel fan but a Disney fan and yes they are separate groups otherwise I guess Simpsons are viewed as "Disney" announcement now.

New IP that is being created out of nothing. A vast majority of what we consider to be "Disney" is not a remake but a completely new movie that we have not heard of before.
