Disney Skyliner Crash?

I said "anything we ride", that includes forms of transportation.

This is from one of the articles linked above
A Disney spokesperson reached out and said that an “empty car was delayed, a second empty car bumped it. No Guests were involved”.

I have not read any other articles on the incident, so for now I guess I am taking Disney's word that nobody was on them but have no problem saying I'm wrong if I am.

There were people involved. Disney is flat out lying that the cars were empty.

Of course. That’s a given. But you never know how that will affect you. I mean, how long is too long?

That is probably dependent on a lot of factors, and for each individual it would be different.
I'm in the camp that suing over being stuck is ridiculous.
Now, suing over being inhured as a result of the failure is a different story.
It also appears that people were on those cars, so for them I'm sure their experience was much different than those just stuck for a few hours.

I see people mentioning plexiglass, plexi can break.
Is that glass on the gondulas actual plexi or is it safety glass? Just wondering if it was stated from Disney or was it just someone saying it was plexiglass?

Seems strange that they would even make such a statement when there is video of people in those cars.

Well, Disney's first statement was that there was no collision, just a power failure. Then that was changed to a collision, but no people involved. Now they've gone to no comment. So maybe not an intentional lie, but false info either way.

Maybe, but it either way it doesn't look good for them.
They are either lying, or they are rushing to make statements without verifying any of the info.
I think when it comes to things like this that directly effect their guests it's better to make a truthful statement when you know everything, and in the mean time say that you are investigating.

Overall, I've never minded the buses. I've actually been very happy to have someone else drive after a long day in the parks. But renting a car seems a bit more appealing now.

I do too. I gave benefit of the doubt until hearing that Disney is scrubbing comments about this on their FB page. That seems like they're trying to cover.

That kind of stuff really bugs me. I mean come on, with so many people in your parks there are bound to be actual witnesses and pictures and videos that make there way out there.
Just be up front, you don't have to admit fault but you can at least say that there was an incident and you are looking into it further. You don't need to try to hide what happened. As a guest that doesn't give me a warm feeling about visiting your parks again.

According to the article, people were in the gondola that was hit.

Well technically, it’s not a ride. It’s a form of transportation. And bus monitors at Pop this past week have directed people to take the gondola.

99, don't ever question the Disney police, they will make your life miserable.

Not to mention that if people were in those cars, wouldn't they be speaking up? Have we heard from anybody who says they were in them? This is very odd on Disney's part.
