Princess Weekend 2020

Any non-princess runners? I've done Alice, Jessie and the ever-popular Anna, this time I'm hanging up the Princess gear. Anyone else "breaking the tradition" and dressing non princess? I may be alone out there....

My group is doing villains.

I'm doing a Cruella inspired outfit. My group also has a Maleficent, Queen of Hearts, and Ursula.

For the 5k I'm going as Tamatoa. Went a little crazy with it too. :)

For the 10k and half my friends and I are doing some Minnie themes.

Tamatoa sounds awesome!!!! I was so tempted to do something Moana for the 5K but my family already had our Toy Story idea set. I'm definitely saving her for a future race costume

I have two outfits, still trying to decide which race I'm wearing each for (the 10K or half). I have a tank top with the incredibles logo on it. I got DH to agree to wear a shirt with the incredibles logo as well (this was a very big deal). I also have a sort of Minnie Mouse skirt that I bought off Amazon that I'm wearing with a black tank. Both outfits are not that "into" character. I'm still debating about whether or not I can tolerate a set of mouse ears on my head with the Minnie Mouse skirt outfit. I don't think I would even risk buying matching socks or anything, because I'm so afraid to not be running in my tried and true socks, shoes, ... I love seeing everyone else dress up, I'm just not sure that I can do it. Even sunglasses on my face annoy me when I'm running.

I'm with you! It's why I don't dress up!

I'm doing villains for 10k and hocus pocus for half!

Hoping that those with experience with RunDisney can help with two questions:

-Can my husband watch the 5K from near the Intl Gateway? We are staying at BCV and I don’t want him to have to come to the start with me but he would like to cheer at some point.
-If I want to go to a park after I finish the 5K, I assume I need to take a bus to the closest hotel and bus/walk to the park? Just want to make sure I’m not missing anything.

Thanks in advance and sorry if I missed these answers in my searches of this thread!

Last year I did Ms. Bianca from the Rescues for the 10 and then Vanellope for the half. This year I decided to go all princess, doing Ariel for the 5, Rapunzel for the 10 and Cindrella for the half.

I love any reason to dress up and go the "as close as possible but still able to run in it" for my costumes

I've also have developed a bit of a habit of including interesting props when I can...

Question about spectating for the Princess Half. Can you walk to the magic kingdom to enter and to cheer your runner? Or must you take the resort monorail?

I know it’s about too late to ask, but anybody have a super sensitive stomach to gels? I’ve also tried sports beans and those aren’t much better. Trying to find something to refuel with that isn’t going to kill my stomach. Any suggestions?

I have had problems with everything except the honey stinger waffles. They don't upset my stomach at all!

I have a friend who is running her first Princess. Her family is staying at the Contemporary. They were planning to use the Contemporary to MK walkway to get to MK to cheer. Someone told her that the walkway is closed during the race and they would need to monorail. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

So am I!! It was my daughter’s idea- she’s made me a pair of felt claws, a “shiny” gold shell with a Maui figurine hanging off it, and fluorescent paint for my face..... I’ll be a real clownshow...... lol

Ok so I did marathon weekend last year and I remember it being so cold while waiting for the start. (i ended up spending $80 on a diet I was so cold) I was considering buying a sweatsuit to toss at the start. So they donate these?
