At first I thought this might be click-bait but upon watching the video, I wouldn't want to be on a ride that bumped into each other with quite that much force! It's stronger than the boat bumps on iasw for sure!

PeopleMover Vehicles 'Slamming' Into Each Other During Testing
That’s really only when the ride has to emergency stop, and they’ve always done that. I’ve been slammed into on that ride a few times over the years when they have to stop. When the ride runs continuously they don’t hit.

I've ridden it 50+ times and never had them hit even when the ride has stopped which has probably been 10+ times.

Have others experienced being slammed into by another vehicle on the PeopleMover?

I think it has happened to me once, but it is not typical, even in a stoppage. I do not recall the bump being very hard. Maybe it's because all of the cars are empty.

I watched the video. Unless they are testing the emergency systems, and I don't think they were, I'm just waiting for the official delay announcement to come out.

I have a hard time believing they would be purposely testing crashes while guests are in the park. Even if it was on purpose it's not a good look!

Well I’ve been on that ride hundreds of times as it’s our absolute favorite. Had the crashes happen a few times and have had to emergency evacuate twice as well (once in space mountain and once in the tunnel by Mickey’s Star Traders). It’s not the most reliable ride by any stretch of the imagination. But the crashes aren’t violent at all. Even from those videos in the article they don’t look too bad and with people in the cars they would be less of an impact. It’s roughly the same as at the end of a dark boat ride when the boat behind you slams into the back of your boat (pirates and 3 caballeros come to mind).

kinda reminds me of the end of the Speedway ride. At least both are in Tomorrowland!

I've had the 'bumper cars' People Mover experience twice over the many years I've ridden. Both times was while the MK was experiencing power outage issues. Some of the hits were teeth rattling but I figured it was pretty common after 2nd time a few years later.

My old physics professor wants to have a word with you.

Sounds good from what I can see. It needs an update - and I LOVE the JC! As long as they keep the general tone, and it seems like they are, then I'm all for it. Maybe they can inforproate some of the effects that I saw on the version at Tokyo Disneyland. That was actually very cool even without being able to understand the narration - it doesn't seemlike they were telling jokes as nobody was laughing - but then agian, that may just be those austere Japanese guests.

Jungle Cruise is my favorite Disney ride so obviously I am a bit worried - BUT it seems like they are going to lean into the parts I love the most: the humor and role of the Skipper ... so call me cautiously optimistic

They ahd some effects on the Hong Kong one that I rode when I was there, so woudl be cool to see some more added
