Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Speaking of K-Cups, does anyone know if they have this type of coffee maker at the Beach Club Villas as well?

Thanks so much - I appreciate all the responses from people "in the know" here!

Hope you have a great stay at my favorite!

Thanks! My family is really excited about the pool, and the location is perfect!

The sink, shower and toilet are all in the bathroom together. Consequently, there are not separate areas to allow more than more person to get ready in the morning.

I was worried about that. Accessible bathrooms tend to be set up this way, but I was really hoping for the sink to be outside the bathroom. Thanks for the info.

2. When you look at photos, be aware that there are accessible studios which do not have roll in showers.

We specifically reserved the roll-in shower, but the most important thing is that the bathing area has a seat.

There have always been lockers in the Stormalong Bay pool area. I think there may outdoor showers near the pool where you can rinse off the chlorine.

That should work - rinsing off the chlorine is the most important thing. :)

We made due--had some grocery bags, stored our suits in those with bell services and changed in our "private pool" restrooms. Not ideal, but worked fine.

Sure hope they get both the locker/shower facilities open again soon!

Me too! But that is a great idea store items with Bell services and change in the restrooms.

Nope. I tried this multiple times, even walked all of Beach Club and Yacht Club lobbies looking for anywhere to get coffee before 7. There was none. However, after I got back I learned that the Boardwalk bakery does start coffee refills earlier, if you are willing to go that far.
Did not know this about Boardwalk Bakery. I know my discussion is pointless a year out but anyone know what time they open for coffee?

so frustrating. shouldn't be so hard to get an early cup of coffee.
My DH and I were just talking about this the other day. I’m fine with the keurig in the room but he often gets up before everyone and would love to go grab and early coffee and read while the rest of us are sleeping.

and you know what else with this coffee issue that seems to be super important to all of us? i think in the lobby for a deluxe disney resort they should be passing out water bottles available all day and in the morning have a complimentary coffee area as you hang around waiting on your family to leave for the parks waiting there for you. i really don't think this is asking for too much and shows a small detail of a finer resort that is upscale. this shouldn't be so difficult. It's deluxe, we should expect this type of old fashioned customer service.

Pre-pandemic, there always was a dispenser filled with water and lemon slices, that was located in/near the lobby. I don’t know if that has been temporarily paused, though. The lobby greeter would always fill it up during the day and remove it late afternoon.

They removed the ice water dispensers from the resort lobbies when they reopened with Covid restrictions. I hope they bring them back because they were really nice to have, especially in such a hot place as Florida in the summer.

They used to have free coffee in the lobby before the marketplace opened back in the 1990's and early 2000s, but ended that practice ages ago. I used to get up super early to go running and would get free coffee in the lobby before heading back to the room. It was incentive to get out early. :)

If you have stayed at YC in a room with the following features:
- 2 queens AND a sleeper sofa
- garden view category
- partial view over looking the ferry dock/lake,

Can you PLEASE ase share your room number with me so I can make an appropriate room request via Touringplans? :worship:

thank you very much!!

It seems if refillable resort mug dispensers are back up and running, the free coffee and water dispensers in the deluxe resorts should be able to be as well. Just another cost cutting thing that will continue to be blamed on Covid, which no longer fits with other things that are back and operating. Also no reason arcades shouldn't be able to be open with hand sanitizer available since people are touching the bars and buttons on the rides. Also the build a car part of Test Track. I can understand play areas still being closed, but some things-the jumping fountains in Epcot, for example, just don't make sense-

We stayed in room 2093 and we absolutely loved it! It had two queen beds and a sleeper sofa, was a garden view room, and overlooked Crescent Lake, but I can’t remember if we could see the ferry dock from the room. I requested “view of gazebo” and we got this awesome room!

Officially boardwalk bakery opens at 7, same as BC marketplace and other QS, but I've heard on these boards that the BWbakery opens earlier in reality (I know for a fact the BC one does not). I will be staying at BWV for 5 nights starting June 17 before transferring to BCV, I guarantee I will fully explore the coffee situation, I am up way before my family, so I like to go out for coffee rather than clattering around in the room making it, so that everyone else can sleep in.

If I forget to report back, and you still haven't heard a good answer to this, I will have a complete coffee exploration completed mid-June! I wonder if Swolphin is worth investigating for early coffee. I usually get a refillable mug, but I don't mind paying for it if there is a shop at Swolphin open earlier than other options.

How are the refillable mugs working right now? Is a CM still giving you a cup? Do you need your mug receipt each time or just the mug?
Is there a refillable mug station at SAB?

You are now able to refill your own from posts I have read on this board. Of course, if the quick service places arent open at the resort that's no very useful yet-
