Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Just curious - I guess its recommended to take our own water bottles with us? Makes sense- thanks.
You can certainly take refillable bottles, or bring bottled water with you. I prefer bringing bottled water, but I drive so it’s relatively easy to do so. I do not know if they have reactivated the bottle refilling stations in the parks which were closed during the pandemic, but you can always add the free cups of ice water available at the quick service restaurants to your refillable bottle if necessary.

Had a great week at POP, our first stay there. we were in the 50's building 2. Had heard that you can see some of the EPCOT fireworks from building 3; we went to the top floor of building 2 and saw the EPCOT and MK fireworks!

Food court- turkey dinner and pot roast SO good.

Skyliner is a game changer, will never stay at a non Skyliner resort.

Planning a return to POP in the next 1.5-2 years, can't wait.

thank you for the information! I was looking for a booking map where I could see where these disabled rooms are, related to their distance to the skyliner. Do you know if that exists?
Just to clarify, you may ‘request’ a particular area but you cannot ‘book’ an area. Disney will do their best to fulfill requests but they are guaranteed. Understandably, the area near the Skyliner is most desired so they receive more requests than they can fulfill.

If you require an accessible room, please ensure that selection is selected when you book your room. You will also want to book early as accessible rooms are limited.

Page 1 of this thread contains maps indicating where accessible rooms are located within each building. All buildings at Pop have accessible rooms.

We used refillable water bottle stations in January.

Thank you, we have seen pictures of the white cribs on wheels but I wasn’t sure of the age on those pictures.
We’ve gotten those in the past at CBR and ASMo. Our youngest grew out of cribs by our first Pop trip.

We got 2 pack and plays for our 3 year old twins when we went in February. They were all set up and had a sheet and blanket in them when we got there. It worked out so nicely! We could then leave the other bed up as the table and we actually had some room to move.

I know people have asked questions about air mattresses at Pop Century. I saw where it was possible to fit a twin air mattress, but the space was very tight. So my question is, if we leave the table bed put up, would it be possible to put 2 twin air mattresses on the floor? My daughter and her boyfriend will not be sharing a bed. We have to figure something out. We can't move to a different hotel. So if no air mattress will fit, I guess it will be blanket on the floor.

Based on my camping experience , 2 nice twin mattresses side by side are similar to a king. We do this when we camp but use a king sheet over the 2 mattresses so our moving/turning don’t jostle the other person.

Since the pull down is a Queen, it’ll take up more room but I think it would fit. There may be virtually no floor space for walking between the beds or to the door, but you stacked them up after people are up, it would work.

Wanted to add, the twins I’m talking about are the standard air mattresses like Coleman. If they were using backpacking air mattresses they don’t take up very much room (but are expensive and less comfortable than the standard).

They will fit. Like the previous poster said, you're probably going to want to put them on the other bed during the day because it will be very crowded.

I don't think 2 will fit due to the size of the fixed base of the table. I would recommend watching the room tour video that is on page 1 of this thread as it may give a better idea of the layout of the room. I feel 1 inflatable mattress plus someone in the pulldown will be your best option.

Are magic bands active when you get them? Or do I still need to link them? When I went under my account on MDE it says I have one magicband assigned to me and my boyfriend's is under friend's magicbands.

Has anyone purchased a case of water at Pop recently? If so, was it in the food court or in the store? Thank you,

Of course this makes sense! In my mind I was forgetting about the table itself that is "up" when the bed is in the wall. Reviewing the video tours makes the most sense!

When you make room requests on the online check-in, are they supposed to be in order of priority? I'm hoping to get a room as close to the main area as possible. So with my standard room selection my room requests give me the option to request the 50s section and the 70s section. The 70s section is clearly closer than the 50s section so that would be my number 1 choice and 50s would be number 2 choice. Does it not work like this though with the requests? I put the 70s section as my "Room Request 1" and put the 50s section as my "Room Request 2". I save everything and all is good. However...When I go back into "update check-in" my room requests get swapped. 50s section is now "Room Request 1" and 70 section is now "Room Request 2". I thought by putting 70s section as "Room Request 1" meant that was my number 1 choice and then 50s would be my number 2 choice if the 70s wasn't available. Is this not how it works?

That's how it's supposed to work. But their system is notoriously buggy.

We did a room request via TP in March 2020 and it worked like a charm and our room was ready at 8am to boot! Did another via TP in Dec 2021 and room wasn't ready so we went to desk and asked if there was anything avail and we ended up with a very convenient room (but noisier because it was first floor and sort of near pool). Did another via TP in March 2022 and our room was ready on arrival but we were stuck way out in the 90s (not our request) and went to the desk and they switched us to the building and floor we requested. Go figure!

So the moment I get to my hotel room I can unlock it with my magicband? Also be able to scan at the parks? I know my questions are kind of silly. I just want to make sure we're ready to go!
If you do online check-in and get email/text with your room number, yes, the intention is you can go directly to your room and unlock it with your MagicBand.

(This doesn't mean that something can go wrong, of course, your MagicBand won't work, and you have to visit the front desk to get it corrected.)

You can also use the My Disney Experience app to unlock your room door.

Yes.

As mentioned, this is generally how it works but the challenge is that the majority of people all want the same rooms in the 50s, 60's and 70's. Some like the 80's and 90's but more request the other areas.

It's purely a supply and demand thing as Pop runs at capacity. Not everyone's requests can be honoured.

I would request the area you want first, then the next area they see what you are assigned. If you'd prefer a different area you can go to Guest Services and request to be moved and they will do their best but not all requests can be honoured.

I figure just better to go in with a realistic understanding.
