After hours events?

I got tickets for DHS for Jan 25th. We did after hours at Magic Kingdom in February 2020, right before the world shut down, and it was awesome! Hoping DHS (with my Star Wars obesessed 18-year old) will be even better.

Hence why I would like to get a park pass with a regular day ticket that I would not use just so I could get a ILL$ for 7:00ish.
FP+ sometimes worked with after hours events/tickets and sometimes not. Sometimes it even changed from night to night. I don’t know if your day pass would accidentally get used or not when entering early. I have only ever had an AP when doing these.

If I tried it (probably won't), I would print out the after hours receipt with the bar code and present that to enter the park.

But yes, accidentally using a regular park ticket would be a concern.

I hope you all left some tickets for me. Need Feb 22 for HS. Staying at Universal so can't book until Oct 7. :sad2:

This will be our first after hours event. So excited!!!
I just booked 2/22- there are still tickets! We did AH at Animal Kingdom and had a great time. We did early morning events with breakfast, at MK and HS a few years ago (before Star Wars) and that was so much fun. Looking forward to this.

Currently, Epcot has Evening Extra Hours for Deluxe Resort Guests. Debating on which date to book the After Hours event if we go. March 13th vs 16th. March 13th is a Monday which is traditionally an Epcot Evening Extra Hours.

Do you believe that Disney will keep it this way in the Spring?

I would assume they will change events after the end of the 50th celebration which is March 31,2023

For the HS after hours, can I assume the rides during that time are essentially walk ons or very low wait? We are planning to visit HS for a morning earlier in the trip, so would I just skip ILL for Rise, seeing as I will be able to ride it during the AH time?

Posters reported they opened for resort guests about 1 am EST. But these tickets have never sold out the first day.
We’ll be offsite too, so waiting until the 7th. It will be the fourth day they are on sale, which causes a little concern, as we don’t know how many they are selling.

I have the first night at DHS. I think I remember reading that the first night's of these seemed to have a lower attendance cap to help with reviews given the high blogger attendance. Hope it's true.

QQ: My mom will be staying at All-Star Music and we are staying at Polynesian. If we get her to come over and watch our kids (I assume this will be no issue) while we go After Hours at HS (9:30pm-12:30am)... will there be transportation available at like 1am to get her back to ASM? We are flying down and not renting a car so she would be dependent on a bus or Lyft. I assume Lyft would be available (but maybe not in high availability) at that time of night? How long do the busses usually run on those nights? Obviously we could leave at midnight or so to get back in case of busses stopping earlier.

Thanks in advance. This is my first WDW trip since I was a kid (early 90s) and some of this (all of it!) is really new to me.

There are no resort to resort busses, so at that time of night she would need to rely on Lyft (including Minnie Vans) or Uber. The other option would be to bus to Disney Springs and then bus to ASM, but since the latest DS is currently open is 11:30 pm on weekends, she’d have to leave Poly well-before midnight.

That’s going to be hard. Any chance that same night is a late night at MK? If so she could monorail over to MK and then grab a bus back to ASMu. But you would probably have to get back from HS earlier to make sure she makes it.

So far the only 'after hours' the week we are there (First week of April, 2023) is HS. And we kinda want to do that since with the little kids we won't be hitting as many of the rides at HS during any day visits.

I think Uber/Lyft will probably be our best bet.

Can your mom just stay at your hotel then? Or is that not allowed?
