Dream CAME true! June 21-26, 2011 TR w/LOTS of pics! Update 8/1 Day 6, Part 4

We will probably not do any excursions. MAYBE a beach excursion in Nassau, but I am not sure I want to. Nothing to me seems more interesting than staying on the ship! :P

We are probably going to rent some floats and bikes on CC though. We are also planning 2 days in the park after the cruise, so we have to limit the spending. It can get very high very quickly (we found out when we got our bill after our 7 days honeymoon cruise.... ouch!) :scared1:

Well you're going to be at CC for 3 days anyway and we personally loved CC better than the Blue Lagoon Beach Day at Nassau. Plus you have the flexibility of coming and going on the ship as much as you please when at CC compared to Nassau. I think you're making the right decision :thumbsup2

:lmao: I'm sure the bill was worth it though! It was your honeymoon after all!

So when do we get to see your little trip to the East Coast? :rotfl2:

YES! I can upload my pictures now to PB since i'm a "Pro" member now! I was afraid of uploading my New England pictures and them getting in the way of my cruise pics!

I'll start uploading them right now and hopefully get to it this evening. We're leaving tomorrow for Cambria and will be without a computer for 4 whole days....NO DISBOARDS for 4 days!?:scared1::sad2: I probably won't be coherent enough to log on from all the wine tasting we'll be doing anyway. :rotfl: ;)

Have a great time! We're going away too! I mentioned it on my PTR! Today we are going to Garden Grove. Why Garden Grove you ask? What is there that is so exciting to do there?

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! :rotfl2: We are going stay in the hotel room, watch TV, read books, do puzzles, no cats to feed, no messy house to worry about, no :laundy:, and best yet, I don't have to cook breakfast, lunch or dinner. Plus I am spending all afternoon tomorrow at the Spa! We have some nice dinners planned and the rest of the time we'll just sleep, or do nothing (I might be on the DIS).

Yes I read that! Hope you have a nice, relaxing stay-cation! :lmao: When I read Garden Grove, I was like, Why in the world there?! :rotfl: But now I totally understand why! Ugh, super jealous of your spa day tomorrow! :cloud9:

I thoroughly enjoyed your TR on your first Disney Dream Cruise, and can't wait to read all about your next trip.

We have a Disney Dream Cruise booked as a surprise for our children next year!! Reading your report has made me so excited, can't quite believe we are going. Some of the lounges you went into look fantastic. Hopefully if our children enjoy the kids clubs myself and my DH can enjoy some champagne cocktails too!

The food looked incredible!!!

We have paid our gratuities up front and I am worried that it looks awful not actually handing over gratuities to the appropriate people to show our appreciation!!

I think we might be in danger of getting hooked too.

Hi there! I have to catch up to the last couple of pages of your TR, but I am back from my cruise, and of course, it was terrific and I am all depressed about being home. :sad1: Like you, I didn't want to get off the ship and let others on tobegin their vacation...OK it would be fine for them to come onto the ship, as long as I could stay there! DS6 didn't want to leave either, and then DS4 started to say he wanted to go back...DS4 kept saying the entire week, "this is an awesome vacation!" ;)

Here is a link to my review...I already started it on Cruise Critic! I hope this works and you can check it out!

Now, it's time to start planning for July 2012's WDW trip! I have to get a new ticker...it looks like we will be checking in on July 17, 2012, but leaving the house July 12th to drive to Tampa first and go to Busch Gardens. Is it too early to start a PTR? ;)

Yay for your trip Bonnie! I'll click over to your TR when I'm on a computer and not my phone. So glad you had a good time!

It's never to soon to start a PTR!

Thank you!

OK, you're right...never too early to start a PTR. I think what I will do is start one as soon as I call MS and the trip is officially booked. My parents and sister want to come to WDW again, for a few days during our trip again, just like last summer. They are planning to take a western caribbean cruise out of FL (either Tampa or Miami) before coming to WDW. As of now, it looks like we would be checking into BWV on 7/17/12, and they will be joining us 4 days later. But they are looking into a few different cruises so we will see. It will be somewhere around that date though and I should know in the next couple of days! :thumbsup2

I started mine before I booked my accommodations, because in my PTR I posted that since "I was 180 days out" I could book my room. You pointed out that I was quoting the ADR booking window not DVC home resort advantage! :rotfl:

Sounds like you have a great trip in the works! :thumbsup2

Oh boy, yes, that does sound like me!! :rotfl2:

Now, my parents and sister are looking into a cruise out of Tampa that will return on July 22, 2012, so that would be the day we would check in. They will know in the next couple of days. Funny thing is, we will be coming from Tampa too! ;)

Really enjoyed your TR! We were on the Dream two weeks ago and seeing some of your pictures really made me wish we were back there!

Hope you enjoyed your trip to New England. And yeah for your MR cruise!

I'm glad you had fun on your cruise and I followed your link over to Cruise Critic and am checking out your TR. It's interesting reading about other cruise lines and it sounds like you all had a great time:goodvibes We're sailing out of NYC next year with Disney, but DH would like to try other cruise lines.

Just got back from a FABULOUS wine tasting trip in Paso Robles for my moms birthday!

Alison, you should be very proud of me...I bought 14 bottles. :goodvibes No where NEAR what you have, but it's a start. My brother bought 26 bottles and my mom got 10. A LOT of booze in the vehicle that's for sure! :rotfl:

BONNIE! I'm so glad you're back safe from your cruise and can't WAIT to head over to your thread to hear all about it! :woohoo:

Oooh yay a surprise! :yay: When do you plan on telling your kids?! I'm sure you'll have a difficult time trying to drag your kids out of the kids club. I've heard they're just awesome!

I'm sure the waitstaff understands that a lot of guests pre-pay their gratuities up front, so i'm sure they'll think nothing of it. :)

Whenever I was working out on the Dream, i'd listen to my iPod and now that i'm back home and working out, some of the songs TOTALLY bring me back to the Dream, wishing I was still there. :sad2: It was such a great trip! I can't wait to make new memories on the MR cruise! :dance3:

I'm so glad you had a nice time. What wineries did you go to? What bottles did you buy? You have to start somewhere, a case at a time is a good way to start. Just don't drink it all before you get the next case! :rotfl2:

In about 20 minutes, we are heading out for yet another trip to Tulare! And then back again tomorrow!

Wow, sounds like a party!! Can I come?! :lmao:

Our trip was awesome, beautiful weather, can't say one bad thing! Now time to plan for WDW next summer...but first, DH and I are going on our very first weekend trip without the kids since we had kids. Our 10th anniversary is coming up on November 18th. We are off Friday, Nov. 11th for Veterans Day. So, we are leaving that morning for Foxwoods (casino resort in Connecticut, not too far from home) and staying for 2 nights! The boys are going to stay with my sister. She has been saying for a few years now that we should go away for a weekend and she would watch the boys. So, we decided that now it is time...

Oh yeah, and guess what? I ended up buying a Tinkerbell watch on the cruise!! Since one of our ports was Port Canaveral, FL, they had a lot of Disney stuff in the gift shop on the ship. DH bought himself a very nice Mickey watch and I got a Tinkerbell one! They were $20 each, a good deal, and a great souvenir! :goodvibes

Thank you for sharing. It was great to see a trip report from a child-free vacation. My son would NEVER allow that :rotfl: as he explained to me 20 times while reading your report ;)
