I did the online check in the other day, mainly by accident but whats done is done. I could request a specific building, floor level and preferred check in time but that was about it. No place for notes as I recall. I called the main desk and they said any special notes to the reservation had to be done thru the reservation line. She transferred me I stayed on hold for over 15 minutes and then I just hung up. I just wanted to add a note that it was a first visit and could I get the buttons at the front desk at check in. I know we can get them so it was not a life changer.

MDE, but no special notations. I was told I had to call too. I agree that sitting on hold forever stinks! And then there is really no guarantee that you will get what you request. It's just a request and they will try their best.
They always have the buttons at the front desk when we check in. I love seeing others faces when they get them!
We did the barbershop years ago. Not sure if you can make a reservation ahead of time. We had to go there and write our name on a chalkboard and wait.
That reminds me that I need to call the barber shop and make an appointment to get my sons first hair cut at Disney World!!!
