Road Trip!

Hmmm, o.k. So Rose and Crown might be out and Jiko probably just made its way back in (especially if we save a TS credit by ditching Rose and Crown)! :thumbsup2

Thanks! :worship:

Here is some more of our plan...

Saturday, July 4

11:00 a.m. Chef Mickeys
Looking forward to PB&J pizza!
8:40 p.m. Liberty Tree Tavern

We will probably avoid the parks for most of this day, choosing to instead check out POFG. I hear it is a pretty neat place!

I did, however, have to make dinner reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern that night (seemed an appropriate fit for July 4th). The last time we ate there was just hours before Nelson proposed to me in 2001. Chip (or Dale) kept proposing to me and he was pissed! He thought they were going to ruin the surprise!

There will be a "concert in the sky" at 9:00 p.m. for the 4th of July. I am bummed that we might miss out on it b/c we will be in for dinner... Does LTT have windows that overlook the castle?

Sunday, July 5
12:10 p.m. Le Cellier
*still hoping to get a dinner res in place of this lunch* We had lunch here last year and it was yummy! We love a good steak! (and the mac and cheese ~ drool)!

This is the day that we will check out of POFG and into BCV! Having never stayed at BCV ~ we are excited!

Monday, July 6
5:35 p.m. Cape May Cafe
I love trying "New England" food when not in New England. Like the glorified chicken soup one Vero Beach restaurant tried to pass as New England Clam chowder! UGH! :snooty:

Tuesday, July 7
6:00 p.m. Yak and Yeti
This will be a new place for us.

Wednesday, July 8
5:35 p.m. Artist Point
Can't remember - is this one a little pricey? This may be one of the ones to go if we cannot justify the cost. Anyone think it is a "must keep"?

Thursday, July 9
6:20 p.m. Sanna
I know absolutely nothing about this place. I got the ADR on Rob's advice... I think it was you Rob who said you had just gone and it was really good.... What type of food? What were the prices like?

Friday, July 10
8:25 a.m. Boma
This is the day we leave and our Disney Depression settles in. We thought a big breakfast buffet might be the best way to send us off! :sad1:

Me?!?!?

I've never been there.

I think you're losing your mind!

Or you've confused me with Mike who said he loved it.

Yes I went and was blown away by how much better it was than I thought it would be.

Make sure to get the bread service, and the salad sampler! :thumbsup2

Not losing hun, LOST! :lmao:

Mike? Help me out here... (before I give Rob any more ammo, he is so much more on his game than I am today). :sad2:

It's OK.

This is why I dont plan trips and just wing it!

It will make you crazy I tell you! :rotfl2:

Leave poor Jenn alone!

Do you want her to go all hormonal on you! :scared:
She's got extra these days ya know!

Today?!?!?!

TODAY?!?!?!? :confused3

Yeah, like it's different on any other day. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2:

See?

This is exactly what I mean. If I had half my wits about me today, I would have never made THAT mistake and left the door wide open for Rob to waltz his sarcastic back end through!

Hey!

You take that back!

It's not just my back end that's sarcastic! It's all of the rest of me, too! :snooty:

Ahhhh!!!! 7/4 at Liberty Tree might be scrubbed. Just found out that the characters are no longer there. :headache:

Maybe a CS at Pecos Bills and we will actually get to watch the fireworks! :)

:jumping1::jumping1::jumping1: I am super, super excited that I will be leaving this rainy, cloudy, sunshine deprived place in four days!!! :jumping1::jumping1::jumping1::jumping1::jumping1::jumping1::jumping1::jumping1::jumping1:

I have a ton of work to do between now and then, not to mention final prep for the Relay for Life Friday night!

I have decided to bring my laptop with me and may do a live trip report (it is probably the only way one will get done)... I will make sure I include plenty of food porn!

So... WE ARE HERE!!!!

We arrive yesterday afternoon and I have to admit that the drive was not that bad... We pulled out of the driveway around 1:30 in the a.m. on Saturday. After stopping to pick up some Advil and a heat wrap (I did something to my lower back at the Relay for Life), I was out like a light...

I woke up in New Jersey...

Then again in Virginia... I stayed awake for a little while at this point... We passed a car that was in the fast lane with a big decal on the back that said "drive it like you stole it"... WHAT THE?!?!?!? The stupid thing was doing 50 in the fast lane...

The ride was pretty uneventful so I wont bore you with the details. We arrived in Florence, South Carolina around 6 p.m. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and was asleep by 8! :scared1:

On the road by 7 a.m....

I did more sleeping, until...

The food was amazing, I was so stuffed, I thought I was going to have to be rolled out...

We headed back to our room and promptly went to bed. It had been a long two days of driving...

We are not to sure what is on the agenda for today... We are headed out the door now and are going to the outlets (my brain challenged husband brought long sleeve shirts with him) and to the grocery store.

Taking suggestions for which park to go to this afternoon...

:cloud9:

Oh Lord!!!! Now I need a cigarette! That food looks amazing.

Jenn- I'm so happy that you and Nelson are taking time for yourselves. Have a great time!

So glad you are finally there and having a wonderful time! What a great picture of the two of you!! (Okay, so the creme brulee is not bad lookin' either...)

Aww - I love the picture of the 2 of you! :lovestruc
Not to mention, the steaks have me rethinking our ADRs!
Have a blast and keep the pictures coming

That food porn was sooooooooooooooooo delicious! You are making me even more envious of you right now!

So what did you do today?
