Looking forward to PB&J pizza!
8:40 p.m. Liberty Tree Tavern

We will probably avoid the parks for most of this day, choosing to instead check out POFG. I hear it is a pretty neat place!

I did, however, have to make dinner reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern that night (seemed an appropriate fit for July 4th). The last time we ate there was just hours before Nelson proposed to me in 2001. Chip (or Dale) kept proposing to me and he was pissed! He thought they were going to ruin the surprise!

There will be a "concert in the sky" at 9:00 p.m. for the 4th of July. I am bummed that we might miss out on it b/c we will be in for dinner... Does LTT have windows that overlook the castle?

*still hoping to get a dinner res in place of this lunch* We had lunch here last year and it was yummy! We love a good steak! (and the mac and cheese ~ drool)!

This is the day that we will check out of POFG and into BCV! Having never stayed at BCV ~ we are excited!

I love trying "New England" food when not in New England. Like the glorified chicken soup one Vero Beach restaurant tried to pass as New England Clam chowder! UGH!

I am super, super excited that I will be leaving this rainy, cloudy, sunshine deprived place in four days!!! ​

I have a ton of work to do between now and then, not to mention final prep for the Relay for Life Friday night!

I have decided to bring my laptop with me and may do a live trip report (it is probably the only way one will get done)... I will make sure I include plenty of food porn!

So... WE ARE HERE!!!!

We arrive yesterday afternoon and I have to admit that the drive was not that bad... We pulled out of the driveway around 1:30 in the a.m. on Saturday. After stopping to pick up some Advil and a heat wrap (I did something to my lower back at the Relay for Life), I was out like a light...

I woke up in New Jersey...

Then again in Virginia... I stayed awake for a little while at this point... We passed a car that was in the fast lane with a big decal on the back that said "drive it like you stole it"... WHAT THE?!?!?!? The stupid thing was doing 50 in the fast lane...

The ride was pretty uneventful so I wont bore you with the details. We arrived in Florence, South Carolina around 6 p.m. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and was asleep by 8!

On the road by 7 a.m....

I did more sleeping, until...

The food was amazing, I was so stuffed, I thought I was going to have to be rolled out...

We headed back to our room and promptly went to bed. It had been a long two days of driving...

We are not to sure what is on the agenda for today... We are headed out the door now and are going to the outlets (my brain challenged husband brought long sleeve shirts with him) and to the grocery store.

Taking suggestions for which park to go to this afternoon...
