"Secret" $90 Nachos at Pecos Bill!

I can't help but think of this when I see that "ad"....

chicken. beef. what do you mean by taco meat.

I would imagine that it's ground beef with taco seasoning. Different from the other beef that they put on the Nachos which I would assume is from the beef fajitas on the menu.

Looks great but definitely need more sour cream.[/QUOTE

Pecos Bill has a nice toppings bar, I get the impression from the review that the staff will definitely get you anything you want from the toppings bar. If not, there's nothing stopping you from getting some

Oh what fun! Hope it's still around in July, we have a group of 10 who would be all over this. It's like a Mexican style version of the "kitchen sink" at Beaches and Cream. Love this!

Thats something that I would definitely do with my family.... Thats awesome

Ooh, I love this idea! We'll be a party of 4 but two are teenage boys, we are sooo going to get this if it is still available in April - fingers crossed! The AP discount makes it not so out of the question for sure.

Oh man, I wish this had been around when we were there with the whole extended family. My siblings and I would have been all over it!

I'm not sure what screams American Excess more, a vast plate of $90 junk food or the half gallon mug of soda served with it. (FTR, I am against neither junk food nor soda.)

For 10 of us, including my bottomless-sink almost-12 year old DS (and three of us who will have run the Princess 5k that morning), it's looking pretty good! (although I'm hoping for iced tea or lemonade, we don't tend to drink soda, if possible)

We did this on our adults-only extended family trip Jan. 11. The six of us did lay waste to the nachos. At $72 (DH and I are AP's) for unlimited nachos including all the fixings and multiple meats plus unlimited drinks, it was definitely worth it. We were given certificates and carnival-type cowboy hats, had our picture taken and watched the "CM parade" (it was about three or four CMs). I'm assuming they had just started this test as the CM who handed us our menu before we walked to the stand to order encouraged us to try and and then another CM came over to talk it up to us. I don't know if they were on incentive-based pay for how many they sold that day or if they just thought it was fun. I would definitely do it again with a group.

See, that just sounds like silly fun, what a vacation should be! :)

If the servers have incentives to sell these (formerly secret) huge nacho platters, this thread may really help make them some nice bonuses!

We were there in early December and were having dinner at Pecos Bill and they were doing it then. We had no idea what was going on. Now I know what all of the fuss was about. We were in the last room on the left and if I recall there were only a few people at the reserved table. Didn't pay much attention so had no idea how much they ate but the plate was quite large and filled with food.

$90 for nachos?!? Never!! Never I say!!!!

Ha! Normally I'd say the same thing but with my family of 5, for individual ground beef nachos and drinks, it comes to a little over $76. That's the least expensive entree, too. The platter uses two other meats, refills, and a fun experience. I think it's a good deal for us and I'll have an AP for 20% off the bill. I wouldn't buy it without the "show", though. It sounds like a fun character-type experience for my kids, who aren't too interested in eating with the Fab 5 or princesses again. They'd love the cowboy souvenirs.

I don't usually eat a meal until the afternoon, so I'd be ready to do some damage!

This is awesome... The show is the added bonus, it's definitely a nice experience for families traveling with older kids. It's a good deal for large parties; if you have 8 traveling in your party and you are able to use the discount it is less than $10 per person for food and drink. That's as good as it gets in WDW
