Call Chase back, talk to a new rep. 60 days is ridiculous it does not take Disney that long to process cancellations I think your original rep is misinformed.

Did you talk to the supervisor or leave a message? If you didn’t actually talk to the supervisor I’d still call back and see if you can get another rep to look into it.

Of course I’d get the person that doesn’t know what they are talking about. I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. the original rep transferred me and the supervisor said I’d get a callback in 48-72 hours. I’m thinking I should wait until July though anyway to rebook incase a room discount comes out for my dates. I had no idea it was a hassle to rebook.

I'd like to run my situation by everyone in the group. I'm 4/24 with a CIP and my wife is 2/24 with CIP. She is an AU on my CSR but I plan on removing that soon because I was thinking the CSR CSP double dip may be good for her. Please let me know what you would do in my situation. The dates are the approval dates. Thanks!!

Me:
Chase Sapphire Reserve 8/2/17
Chase Freedom 1/3/18
Chase Freedom Unlimited 3/1/18
American Express Amex EveryDay 3/18/18
Chase Ink Business Preferred 5/6/18

DW:
Chase Southwest Plus 10/31/17
Chase Southwest Premier 10/31/17
Chase Ink Business Preferred 3/21/18Your pace with Chase is quite fast - have you followed some of our discussion regarding potential shutdown risk? You have opened 4 Chase cards in 10 months and you are 4/6 (3 Chase) and 3/3 (2 Chase)...I’d tread lightly with them (especially if you don’t have a mortgage on your credit report). I’d hit AMEX Biz cards for the next 4 months and then maybe come back to Chase for a double dip in Sept.

Your wife definitely has some runway though :) A CSR/CSP double dip in June would probably be fine.

Just got this offer for Amex Business Gold for 75K MR and no AF for the first year. Is this a good offer? If I go for this, I will save the wife's CSR/CSP double dip until this spend is complete.

Edited to add the previous post with all the details.

That is an awesome offer; the highest and best offer available on that card. Public offers on the BGR typically give you 50k MR; and even if you call into Amex to ask for a better offer on this card, they might give you 75k MR for $10k spend. The MSR on this offer is just $5k. And because it’s an Amex business card, it won’t show up on your personal credit report or count against 5/24 with Chase. And yes, a $5k MSR will buy you some time to slow down with Chase before having DW do a Sapphire double dip. Go for it, and good luck!

Timely information! @miztressuz and Lain: Can anyone clarify for me about the status after the changeover with regard to the credit card nights? Oldest daughter and I were just discussing this and she is showing 36 nights in Marriott Rewards and 14 Nights in SPG. She has all 4 credit cards - SPG personal and Biz and Marriott Personal and Biz. The question came up because of the Marriott upgrade offer - I said don't upgrade - you can get the elite nights for 3K spend on the personal if you are getting close to any status.

So, when she was able to look, she let me know she had these numbers. Neither of us knows if all 4 credit cards will count in August. I was thinking 'too good to be true'.

And, I'm not too shabby either: I'll have at least gold. I have 2 Marriott and 1 Spg.

Currently enjoying pierogies, stuffed cabbage and a Yuengling in the PIT lounge. Can’t get much more Pittsburgh than that. . It’s a pretty small lounge but it is full today. The other times I have been here there was only a few other people.

Love pierogies! Have some in my freezer but I just had Panera baked potato soup for lunch or your mention might have sent me to the kitchen! Love stuffed cabbage also.

I haven't been following the news, but I know Greg at Frequent Miler has been writing about it. His most recent post was last week: 15 shortcuts to Marriott Platinum Elite status.

Juts got my Hilton biz in mail....:thumbsup2 I also got some interesting Hilton offers on multiple amex cards...snagged 5 of them..I'd love some advice on how I can max this out. So Hilton Biz gives 12x points for hilton hotel purchases, does this include gift card purchase? That would be a good way to get towards my MSR a bit- also, if I buy Hilton gc, what can I use them for? just for a hotel stay,or other interesting ways to max them out?Can they be used to get more points somehow, or just a stay? I was thinking it might be a good purchase- on 4 cards (3 hilton brand) I offers ofbuy $100/get $20 back,(gc) and on my biz card I have $500/$75 but only Australia, which I don't think I'll use.....

Aha, I saw a datapoint for this on r/churning: https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/8rycl2/daily_discussion_thread_june_18_2018/e0w7ktw/

Short story is looks like buying from the Hilton gift card site will code as a Hilton purchase for the bonus category. Good news :)

Someone is reporting on the Gift Card Thread:

Just fyi effective today, you can no longer purchase a disney gift card with a target gift card

http://www.waystosavefordisney.com/change-to-target-policy/

:(:sad1::sad:

Link isn't opening right for me.

Wow. I haven't bothered buying third-party gift cards with Target gift cards in almost 2 years? The savings just aren't there anymore.

But what does have me worried is this trend of stores ending GC>GC transactions. Best Buy comes to mind, GameStop before that (?), now Target. Wondering how much longer Walmart/Sam's Club will allow it given the direction their competitors are moving.

I think once BB stopped working Target and Walmart are what everyone that does swagbucks redeems their first gc for each month since the $25 card redeems for $22 in points. A lot of people would also use the buy x get $x gc back to get gc and not just for disney, so this will hit them as well. I'll just use those for actual shopping now. I'll switch to Amazon and give up my free disney money. I was going to anyway since I need to get a new Garmin watch and the one I want isn't available for in store at BB so Amazon it is.

This is a big bummer though but I think we all had to figure it would eventually end. Will be interesting to see what Walmart does. I don't/won't shop there so I'll be watching from the sidelines anyway. But this is another reason why you never want to have too many gc sitting around waiting to be converted to disney unless it's for somewhere you shop anyway.

Makes me sad. I do rewards site cashouts to do gc to gc, if there's no paypal. I wanted to start gc churning after I got back from a trip, and it ended while I was on the trip.
