"Official" 2018 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Holiday Magic

I just realized...does Magic Kingdom not have a nighttime parade anymore unless you go on a party night? I am coming in three weeks and have been going back and forth about this event. This may just seal the deal! Thank you!
The Main Street Electrical parade stopped in WDW October 2016. :(

Ugh, I love so many of these pins but limiting some of them to 5K (or even fewer!) really lessens my chance of finding them once I arrive on 12/4.

I like pins, but I'm actually not super into these holiday ones. I think I just really don't like wreaths lol.

More pins for everyone else ;)
I'm with you. I'll take pics of real wreaths around the resorts and parks, but not feeling the wreath pins. Not much novelty to those. What ever happened to snowflakes?

So do you think I won't be able to get one of the mickey/minnie party pins by 12/9?
I'm assuming the candelight processional will be gone as that's super small but what about the Chip and Dale? I'm hoping limited release means that there are lots and lots just for a limited time.

When I did the Halloween party this year (first week of October), there were plenty of the limited edition pins still available. But I couldn't find the Stitch pin, and that was limited to less than 4K. In contrast, some of these pins are increased in volume, over 5K. I'm still going to assume that with all of the parties and Thanksgiving being a huge draw to the park now, everything I would want will be gone by the time I make it there.

I do really like that first snowman set!

But apparently there are only 300? Lol

Disney marketing feeds on panic created by the perceived lack of something (pins, viewing areas, even passes). The more we post fears of missing out the happier they are, and as a nasty offshoot, the more the items become targets for the resellers (ebayers).

Best off to take in the info, determine a plan and enjoy the party. Then, IF an item you've had your eye on is available, purchase and love it!

So we are going to the 12/6 party, my son's first time to WDW. We are eating at Ohana at 3:55 and then heading into the party. We don't really have any must-dos for the party besides the parade/snow. We will maybe ride a couple of rides/meet a character or two if we can, but for the most part I just wanted him to see the party/parade/fireworks/decorations. I've booked the dessert party {Tomorrowland option} to see the fireworks but I'm not sure how that will work with the parade...where should we try and be for the parade to then get to Tomorrowland to check in for the dessert party? When should we get to whatever spot you recommend? Or should I cancel the dessert party and focus on the parade?

Thanks!

I wish these came in a green option or some other color (if they do I haven’t seen it yet) so I wouldn’t have to worry about getting them mixed up in my bag or in the resort.
It is nice to see some color come back to the handles though, for this reason alone. Without their caps and all those generic white grips, none of us could tell who's was who's.

Yes, wish there were lid color options too. So family knows which mug is which.

Happy about handles having color again.

Those pics are amazing! I can’t wait!!!
So what would u recommend? Dessert party for the fireworks or Tony’s new package for priority spot for the 11:00 parade? Or just have fun at the party and no add one?
Thank u in advance

Hi everyone! I'm not attending a MVMCP this year but I'm a pretty great strategist for these parties and have attended tons in the past.

So basically I'm going to hang around and give out unasked for advice and strategies and get excited about the characters!...that I won't be seeing this year.

Sounds good! I'm trying to decide about order of characters. I am currently thinking Sandy Claws (if stays in TST & starts @ 4:30pm like the last parties for MNSSP), then Moana, the Nick & Judy, then Pooh. Then BoG (not idea but only night to eat here , able to get 6:40pm), so wasted 4pm ADR if M&G stays like MNSSHP. Would like 7D & Scrooge McDuck too. Parade & fireworks, midnight Mickey's Merriest. We'll see.
