Beautiful start to the 'new' NBA season

I think you forgot someone. Where's your 3 point shooting, excellent defender guy? :p
 Do we have one of those? Maybe you could give me a hint who it is. (Truth be told I don't really know very much about basketball - I just LOVE to root for a home team!) ;)

You had one in Danny Green, when you won the championship. He's now starting for the Lakers. I don't know, if you have one this season. (I admit that I'm biased toward Danny & wish the fans gave him more credit for the championship.) Kawhi was definitely the best player though.

As a side note, it looked like the Raptors team is having the most fun dealing with the Disney bubble. Did you see how they decorated their hall?

Well, with the Bulls on a very long, very extended vacation here in Chicago, I have no dog in the fight anymore. I'm probably good with anybody.

I'm also sad that the Bulls aren't playing. I quit pulling for a specific team when MJ retired, but will miss watching Coby play. There are better days ahead for the Bulls.

I sort of wonder if when spectators are allowed if the pa announcers will still say, "please rise and remove your hats for the playing of the national anthem". or is that wrong now?
We go to a few games a year (basketball, baseball & football). I can't remember the last time I heard them ask people to remove their hats.

Danny Green is very much missed here in Toronto.. not only for what he brought to the game - but for the huge contributions he made to the city & community at large. I’m a big fan of Danny’s.

We are lucky with our team and Coach Nurse -the depth on the team is outstanding. Many of the players are often utilized (strongly) in more then one position.. So to answer ronandannette we do have one of those.. lol. A few actually.
Nick Nurse has brought an interesting coaching style to the team that really works for them. It’s good to have the ability to go to your bench when the need arises and know that you have the talent & skill there to pull it off.

My son's (22) sport is basketball. He played through high school and still goes to the outdoor courts almost every day to shoot around. He will graduate college in December and has been here at our house since March. He is grateful for what he has but has still struggled with the isolation. His mood and spirit has improved immensely since the NBA started. I watched a game with him this afternoon and it was joyful! The "fans" on the Ipads made my day!!! I'm so grateful that they have, for the moment, found a solution and are committed to providing entertainment and sports!

Jonathon issac is now my favorite player in the nba. He stood for the national anthem like all decent human beings should. Good luck. Great job you couldn’t be bullied.

what’s wrong is that if you stand, you feel like you have to explain yourself. No American should ever have to explain why they stand for our national anthem. That is sad actually.

it sure doesnt, but we all have our personal heroes

( its ok to like someone for what they do, but not to hate someone who doesnt do it)

I agree. I had a lot of respect for Kaepernick for "kneeling" for what he believed in and think him being effectively black balled from the NFL for it was wrong. I also have respect for players who continue to stand (now) for the same reasons.

having rspect for what he did I get that, but let me ;et you in a dirty little secrete, he sucked and still does, he was great for 2-3 years, then his body was no good after the beatings he took, happens often in NFL, if he was good, he would been on a clud, teams would get Hitler if he could throw the ball

I'm not staying he was a great player. I don't know that his skills or lack there of is really why he hasn't been picked up.
