Day 2 of being unemployed still doesn't feel different. Going to pass on the car as it had 230K and a check engine light on. I'm thinking I'll just buy a new truck with Christmas sales and pass on my car to youngest dd. Watched Serena lost her US Open Match, which is good she made the semi finals, but I don't think she can win another major. Time always win.
Today, after I cut the grass, need to go pick up some more ammo. We are taking the boyfriend shooting at FIL's place this weekend. You all have a great weekend.

Afternoon guys from the back end of 3 days worth of sales pitches. 6 Companies all trying to convince us they are the ones, which was particularly weird as no-one was in the same room. Had a stand off with about 25 teenagers last night who were d!cking about outside my house. Just opened the door and leaned against the wall looking at about 4 of them. After about 5 mins it freaked them out a bit, and they all shuffled off mumbling various things about me as they slinked away. I'm clearly getting old.

I think DW just wants her grandparents' land. Nostalgia. Me, I can blow up stuff anywhere.
We both look at the future differently. I'm Dr. Strange with the time stone considering 1.4 million alternate plans. Her parents divorced when she was 7, and lived a decade of false future promises. Even after 20 years with me, she can't go there. Those future plans are on hold until after our children are out of school/ established and her parents are deceased.
Afternoon Dads and a very Happy Friday Eve! Not much around here though looking forward to football starting. Doesn't feel like football season though with so many college programs opting out and no NFL pre-season. I don;t know just seems weird - but it is 2020 so weird seems to be the new normal.
I'm not going to accept this as the new normal. It will end after the election. I just don't know if it will be for better or worse afterwards.

A friend posted something similar on FB. His kids are still in elementary school, so the set is really just for them.
Oh - and she mentioned wanting to visit Aulani for our 20th wedding anniversary (w/o the kids), so I've been stalking the boards looking for points.
That's a great plan. Our 20th was earlier this month, and my plan was a weekend at WDW and dinner at Victoria & Albert's. Thay didn't happen, so maybe for our 25th.
One of my future plans is a month driving trip out West, stopping at a few places along the way, visit
DisneyLand, fly/cruise to Aulani, and then return home.
