Will you get the Covid vaccine?

Not immediately. I will eventually, but frankly, something developed this quickly makes me nervous. I can already see the ads 10 years from now:
"Did you and your loved ones get the early covid vaccine? Are you affected by these symptoms and medical issues over the years? Call lawyers are us now"! :rotfl2:

In all seriousness though, our family will eventually get it, but will definitely not be day one front of the line.

Yes, as I have a few underlying conditions. I'm more concerned with Covid and it's long term effects than I am the vaccine and its effects. Other posters have said it better than I have, but I would prefer to get something that at some point might get us back to something close to normal life, then worry about side effects that may or not happen down the road. Covid is a very real threat. I know at least 2 people currently in ICU on a vent.

There is another thread on this board that actually answers all of your questions. Start towards the end...
Actually it doesn't. NO ONE can say what long term effects this vaccine will have. Sure, they can say "long term problems caused by vaccines are extremely rare". But how can you say what this vaccine will cause in a year? Five? Ten?

That being said, yes, I will PROBABLY get it. But I won't be first in line (even if I could). I will feel better after MILLIONS of guinea pigs have taken the vaccine and see what their responses are. Of course, I went 45+ years without getting a flu shot (and not getting the flu) also.

Then the poster can read it for entertainment if they so choose. Or maybe they will find it helpful.

I would say absolutely, yes, as soon as possible,
but now that I'm suspicious I already have/have had it despite a negative covid test I do have a few questions marks to answer first.

Yes, I deem that the known risk of Covid complications far exceeds the risk of taking a vaccine based on our ages and co-morbidities. My husband and I have already reached out to our primary care doctors to make sure they know we want a vaccine as soon as we qualify. We will be watching the local news closely, as well as the clinic’s website.

I would assume both my husband and I are fine with getting it whenever we're up.

The only thing I've been wondering about is if it will be like the Gardasil vaccine I had. I got it right after it was approved here and it protected against 4 HPV strains and it was 3 doses. However, as time went on and more development occurred they were able to protect against more strains. Currently the only one you can get here protects against 9 strains and is 2 doses. Additionally the ages were widened and males were added. But that is the nature of continual research. I understand why people are hesitant to get the vaccine but that is also with the consideration that enough people need to get it to both study the effects and for hopeful protection (or reduction of severity) for the population at large.

Yes, however I just recovered from Covid a few weeks ago(I only had mild symptoms thankfully) and I’m low risk so I’ll probably be one of the last groups to get the vaccine.
