While I wasn't expecting any classes in May, I was hoping for them, lol. I'd love to try a May trip, we've never been then. We booked a cruise for September, and DH isn't going, just DD and I. I wouldn't mind adding on a week before or after the cruise, but DD says that's too long to be away from her daddy.

I don't really want to go in June, July or August, since it's hot and crowded, and we can go other months. October seems to close to the cruise to want to pack up and take off again. Doesn't it?

I hear you. We're locked into our May dates. I wasn't expecting a Y.E.S. class, but I was sure hoping.
I can help you a bit though. The last week of August is a GREAT time to go!! Yes it's hot, but most schools have gone back by that time and the last 2 years have not been crowded at all. In fact it was very quiet, and we had great trips both years (well except for my sons appendix issues but that's an entirely off topic story!)

If you reconsider, take a class in the last week of August and go!! Even Labor Day Weekend wasn't above a moderate crowd level!!

Anyone have a trip report for Synergy in Science? I was really hoping for a couple of other classes the week of June 10th. The description doesn't seem that exciting, but it the only age range that fits the kids going.

Anyone have a trip report for Synergy in Science? I was really hoping for a couple of other classes the week of June 10th. The description doesn't seem that exciting, but it the only age range that fits the kids going.

Here's a mini-review of the Synergy In Science class. My kids were 6 and 8 at the time. When we arrived at the will call window to start the class, there were coordinators there separating families out, and she clearly tried to group by ages. There were 8 kids in our group, and my 8 yr old son was clearly the oldest. (The age limit for this class is 6 - 11 I think - and it looked like the other group had older kids in it.)

We stopped inside the gates and learned about synergy, played with tinker toys and talked about how they built spaceship earth. Then we rode spaceship earth. Then we talked about 3D and watched Captain EO (the actual show was probably the low point of the class - the kids had no idea who Michael Jackson was and the movie was really dated.) But afterwards the instructor did a great demonstration of how 3D worked and it really got the kids interested. Then did Journey into Imagination with Figment (which I know gets mixed reviews, but my kids liked it so much, we had to go back and do it again later in the trip!). We finished off by talking about everything and the kids did a puzzle together.

My kids list it everytime someone asks them their favorite things about Disney - and we were there for 7 days, so it really sticks out for them! All of the conversations clearly were geared for a younger group, but I can't say if that's because our group was younger, or if the class is always like that.

We did that class when DD was 7. She thought it was really boring. It was pretty much the same as the OP who liked it described it (except we saw HISTA instead of CaptEO). Maybe their instructor was better than ours.

Thank you! Our cruise is 9/22, so maybe late August (or October) would put the two trips too close together?
