Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

We tried Poly club level 12/5-7 and were sorry we did.

Agree with those who have said if you love something, stick to it! We moved to Yacht Club CL 12/7-14 and loved every minute from the moment we drove in! Exceptional service, & as was documented recently in this thread really great food/snacks.

Sorry your Poly CL experience was less than stellar, but glad your YC CL stay was great :).

Its really crazy. I got exactly what I wanted for Dec 2018 in Mar 2018, but nothing for Dec 2019 in Dec 2018. Good thing I am persistent and will keep calling and checking.

Thank you! I have something decent booked via a TA. Bounceback % or AP % may be a little better, but I am glad I have something. Much prefer the second week to third week. Not even crowds, but getting back into the swing of things is a little easier before Christmas with that week!

If I can get CL for a similar price for the desired dates via bounceback or a better promo, I will jump on it!

I totally hear you!! We go Thanksgiving week till the week after every year... when Thanksgiving is late, it really messes us up when we come home!! We were home on Dec. 1st this year (which was great)... next year, Thanksgiving isn’t until the 28th, so we won’t be home until Dec 7th or 8th. Not a huge deal, but I always feel stressed once reality sets in again when you step foot in the door... order cards, gifts, what am I making for Christmas Eve dinner, DD’s birthday, etc........!!

Can you tell me more about what you didn't like about the Poly Club? We are booked there in the spring, but in light of some of the reviews recently I am questioning our choice. There are still other options available, so I'm thinking if we are going to change we should make a decision soon.

So happy to hear Vilma is there at YC CL! She was our favorite CM at the BC CL but we heard she moved over to YC - maybe she rotates back and forth. In any event, I agree she's exceptional!

I love when there’s a CM or two that goes above and beyond. When we did WL a few times, we got to know Bonnie. She greeted us every time she saw us by name, always made sure we had everything we needed and always had a smile on her face. We only did RPC once last year and we were totally impressed by Francisco and Ryan. Never met more polite CM’s who totally went out of their way for guests. We adored them. My kids still ask when we can go back and see them, but I heard Ryan moved-not sure about Francisco.

:santa:*MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!* :santa:

Next September/October I am going to take just my 5.5 yr old down for a girls trip to do the Halloween party.

We just came back from GF TPV RPC and I am debating on rebooking that or try Contemporary TPV CL. We will just be doing the halloween party and rest of time will be spent in the pool/hotel - opinions? I have not stayed Contemporary since I was little (25 yrs ago) and the theming/atmosphere doesnt appeal to me but I know the views are outstanding

Pool isn't anything fancy but hey, it gets you wet. So as far as I'm concerned, it does it's job. But if pool is really important to you, then it may disappoint.
Otherwise, we love the rooms at CR. CL was fine (we did the regular Atrium one). Nothing particularly memorable but not bad. Fine. If you liked GF CL I'd think you'll be content with the CR CL. I found them really similar. But we are very low maintenance folks, rarely needing anything from the staff. I think maybe that's why we view them as fine, nothing special. Our interactions are limited.

I agree! I had my first stay at BWI CL this past June and while every CM was great, Brittany was the one we saw/talked to every day. She was always around the lounge entrance welcoming everyone coming in and going out. She was always ready and willing to answer questions, get something you wanted/needed if it wasn't out, etc. Everyone was great, but Brittany made that CL stay amazing for us :).

We haven't done CL at the Contemporary, however, since you're going for the Halloween party mainly, the bonus is that walkway between MK and the Contemporary!

We stayed in the main building (theme park view) last year and the view was WOW and the rooms were so big!

I have done solo MNSSHP-oriented trips with either DS or DD the last several years...2015-2017 at CR Atrium CL, 2018 at GF (SL, but I've stayed RPC). All 2-4 night trips. Kids in the 4-8 range during those trips.

I find the layouts of some resorts/CLs better than others in terms of being solo with a younger child, but I view both GF RPC and CR pretty similar in this regard. Easy buildings to navigate, no room is very far from the lounge, etc. Both are very convenient.

I particularly enjoy the convenience of CR when it comes to a true MK/MNSSHP trip - just can't beat it... especially when leaving the MK.

I had a bit of probably isolated bad transportation juju leaving MK to get back to GF this year after MNSSHP (just after midnight). Monorail and boat lines were really, really bad. We go enough to see all sorts of crowd levels and transportation lines, but this night was among the worst I've personally experienced. It took just under an hour to get back to GF - way longer than it should take. At that moment I was cursing my decision to do GF and not CR (and I guess from my vivid memory of the circumstances I'm still not over it!). :-) I suspect this was a bad moment in time situation vs the norm, but stuff happens sometimes.

But, the reason I chose GF in the first place was the pools, and particularly the kids splash pad. This trip was with DD4 so the GF zero entry pools and awesome splash pad gave the edge towards GF given her age and swimming ability. Other than MNSSHP, our plan was to pretty much just enjoy the resort/pool amenities - so from that perspective it was a good choice.

CR pools don't have that wow factor (for me) but I do find the setting beautiful and it's never been particularly crowded in my experience.

From a CL perspective, I am a fan or CR CL and have very much enjoyed our experiences there. I personally prefer CR CL over GF CL overall, but that's probably not going to be the majority opinion on this thread if you took a poll.

Of course, a CR TPV room is mighty nice!

So, I could ultimately make a case for both depending on what's important to your particular trip needs/styles.

Sorry, long winded. Hope it helps and happy to answer any questions.

Francisco was at SL on my most recent stay, a few different days.

SL?!! OMG I hope he’s still there in July!!!! My DS loved him!! You just made my day!!

I think he rotates. We had him at both SL and RPC, different trips within a year of each other. There is an older CM woman that we've also had at both SL and RPC (she made my girls' bday extra special as soon as my DH told her we were waiting for specialty cakes to be delivered to our room!).

How you describe Bonnie is exactly how we feel about Vilma at BC/YC CL!! She LOVES my DH (lol) and whenever we get off the elevator and she sees him, she literally runs into the kitchen to get him 2 beers. She knows my kids and I are content just grabbing a drink from the lounge, but she always confirms we have what we need. We will be at YC CL in July and I sincerely hope we can see her.

Really makes you feel welcome and happy not only when they remember you, but also your preferences as well, when they say “:welcome:Home” they really mean it!!!!!:cloud9:

Checking in from my room at the Polynesian club level to say thanks for all the info and advice on this thread (and elsewhere) and Merry Christmas Dis Friends!

Lovely room on the 3rd floor (wanted outdoor space :) ) fairly close to the lounge too! Love the large room and the 3 sleeping spaces as my "kids" are college kids and don't want/like to share a bed (requested day bed last month at YC and did not get one).

Arrived about 9:30ppm, check in was quick and the CM who escorted us to Hawaii bldg kind enough to bring my kids to the lounge for snacks and cold drink and brought me down a beer while I check in ! Above and beyond.....as they were putting everything away.

Breakfast was plentiful and the mid day snack was fun - lettuce wraps and other cold offerings. Taking a quick break now while we all shower and head out to Epcot after we see what the evening offerings bring.

Peace !
