Hi I live in picayune, MS 20 mins outside of slidell. we evacuated to minden for katrina we stayed at lake claiborne state park. I grew up in gretna and harvey. we moved here about 10 years ago but we work and go to school in new orleans and slidell.

How Cool! I am from Lockport which is about 25 minutes from Thibodaux and Houma. We are leaving for WDW on November 15th. Only 9 more days to go!

Hi survivor, we are from Picayune also, but I grew up in Buras, La., YES, right where Katrina came ashore. It is really neat to see where all these folks are from and seeing your town on a site like this is kinda kewl. We are fresh off the DVC S.S. Member Cruise, which was awesome, and are headed back to the world for Mardi Gras @ the BWV. Congrats on the remission and we will be praying for your continued good health. Enjoy your next trip.

I grew up on the Westbank - moved to Bush about 11 years ago! We're heading back to Disney Nov 29 - can't wait!!!!!!

Just a heads up... please vote for Amendment 8 today!!!! It will really help out our school system in our little town of Central!(outside of B.R.) Its so we can create our own school system, since B.R. cant figure out how to run it.

hey it's always nice to meet someone on the disboards from our area. we love living in mississippi but also miss the seeing familiar faces in walmart and the closeness of family. I'm also glad to see the casinos coming back to the coast. We also had to cancel our trip to the world (November 2005) due to Katrina but we have rescheduled for January 2007 . 60 more days .
