We're on our 3rd trip later this year. For our first trip back in 2013 I planned like crazy, had spreadsheets, daily itineraries, lists of the best snacks and where to find them and which were
DDP eligible, everything. For our second trip in 2017 I simply used all of my work from 2013, tweaked some stuff, loosened up a bit, so I didn't have to do as much planning, but it was still fun to read up and be ready for stuff that was new. For this year's trip a lot has changed since 2017 AND we are going with our friends and their 3 girls so I want to make sure they are able to do all that they want, but without approaching it too commando style. But all of the prior trips and experiences helps to smooth a lot of things out and I know what is truly things to be on top of and what things can more easily be winged. It will be easier the next time, trust me. It's like having kids, by the time you have your 3rd or 4th you don't even sweat it anymore, they'll be just fine. LOL!!
