The Dress Shop on Cherry Tree Lane

I hear you ladies! It's so easy to buy these beautiful dresses!

Here's the thing with the Halter straps, the front straps are slightly angled ~ those should be corrected first. Some do and some don't, it's really a matter of preference. However, it will cause a slight gap when you sew the straps to the back. If you want your straps to lay flat and in line with your bra, you need to remove the straps, put the dress on wearing the bra you plan on using with said dress, lay the straps on the bra straps and pin them in. It is a two person job unless you have a dress form.
Thank you @FoxC63. I’m glad I didn’t commit then, cause that’s exactly what was happening. But I’m not sure if I trust taking them off completely. So, I’ll have to decide what I want to do. I normally wear a sweater of some sort anyway. Yep, I’m one of those, 90 degree heat and somehow I’ll get cold LOL!

Those of you who have altered the halter to straps -- how are the straps attached? Are they sandwiched between the bodice layers, or just sewn on top?

You can sew them crossed at the back instead of straight. It will follow the same line as tying it as a halter without all the PITA of tying them as a halter.

Anybody have the Sally dress? Wondering what the fit is like, compared to other styles?

EDIT: The two sizes I was torn between are both sold out, so this may be moot but I want to know in case it pops back up.

I do. I was fighting between a medium and a large. Opted for the medium. It’s a bit tight at the top for reference I’m a 34H but the bottom fit better on me. Let me see if I can find a picture
Edit: can’t find one. I’ll take one when I get off work. :) ::yes::

Thank you, that's helpful! I'm a 32DD so that's a good reference point. :)

You should not be ashamed. We work hard for what we have. But I am curious, how many do you have??? LOL!

Aren’t the prices on those sometimes insane?? I refuse to buy when they are selling it used and more than what I can get it brand new. I got quite a few good deals with tags and all, like $60 good. But I will not contribute to the madness. It only makes them buy them up more and leaves less for those of us who only want 1.

21 once the 2 HM dresses come in AND if I keep both.

So very interesting, we received our first order today. The Maleficient dress fit my sister perfectly. It is perfect for her figure, so if you are more of an hour glass shape, it's good. (most of these dresses are anyway) I'm a bit shorter and more of an apple shape, so I have to get the dresses bigger to fit my stomach. I got the Inside Out dress in a large, and it actually fit. I have the Parks Dress in a large and it is a little tight. So I measured them against each other and the Inside Out dress is around 1.5 inches bigger. Anyway, both of them are beautiful.
