The Journeys of Lil Medic

Enjoying following along with your trips Vince. DH and I missed our trips to Maine last year with the border closed. We usually attend a blueberry field day in Machias in July. If you ever are there I highly recommend Helen’s Restaurant.
Thank you. We will be in Maine at Bayley’s in Scarborough at the end of the month. Heard good things about it and will definitely do a review.

Well hope the rest of your trip goes well and your return trip is uneventful. We stayed at KOA Mims a couple years ago, and you have nailed it. We only needed a night or two as we were passing thru.
Super C, well they are a very rare breed right now. Before we purchased our recent rig, I was looking for a Super C as a possibility. There were very few out there and most that were, well we didn't want to live in it with 4 other couples. Only way any of us could afford it. Best of luck. Hopefully the MH is a quick and easy fix.

We’re so close! Lol...we’re back into the Orange lot to go and drive around Disney property to see what we can see...

Jim we are at universal now, how long are you here for?
Until tomorrow... at Kissimmee KOA for night. Kids in the pool. Hook up and back to Disney Springs for morning/early afternoon tomorrow before heading to my parents in Venice on Gulf coast for the week. Reservation for Splitsville lunch tomorrow.

Hope you are enjoying Universal!

Tried to get reservations at that KOA before we came down but they were all booked up. Maybe we will run into each other again.

Saturday found us at Universal again after doing some more exploring our old stomping grounds in Melbourne / Palm Bay.

She has been buying things to add to it every time we go.

We did ride Kong, it is a vehicle ride similar to kilimanjaro safari that runs on a under pavement track and is 3D. With the plexiglass dividers between the rows of seats there was a glare from the action on both sides of the vehicle but it was still a good ride.

We didn’t do much Sunday with it being Easter so just hung around the campsite and went swimming in the pool.

I have noticed ( hard not too) that their is road construction, shocker right, on the 528 from US 1 in Cocoa all the way to 417 in Orlando. Looks like they are building a new road right beside it. :confused3 This pic is at US 1, I will get more from 528 tomorrow.

For those that read my post from yesterday before the hack, DW celebrated a special day today. At 12:05 AM she became a published author so we celebrated at Fish Lips at Port Canaveral.

There wasn’t any ships in port but we did get to see a tug boat leave and come back. After we went to the beach, was way to crowded and came back to camp. Had steak and seafood kabobs for dinner.
Tomorrow will be heading to the Springs in the morning then Universal for more Harry Potter.

Along 528 I believe that is construction on the surface that will be the rail line. We saw them working on it last October when we drove it.

traffic headed east is not effected by the construction, still running 2 lanes in that direction.

Made it into the Springs late this morning 10:42

Lil medic picked up another set of ears and a stuffy, went into pin traders and got some more pins then headed to Days Of Christmas

After we left and headed to the beach in Cocoa. As we came into Cocoa on the 520, seen a old MH, sorry no pic, that looked like it had been sitting in a marsh up to its roof. There was mold and mildew all over the thing and the mirrors, where a slimmy green color on the glass. Don’t no how they where able to see what was coming up beside them, but it did run.

Further down the 520 we seen a boat with crab or lobster traps :confused3 not sure which ones they where and another vehicle beside it.

Yep, it’s a convertible with a scooter in the back seat. Only in Florida.

After the rocket launch DW and I found a real good Mexican restaurant, lil medic didn’t feel good so she stayed at camp. The restaurant is called La Catrina and is on the 520 in Cocoa Beach one red light before Ron Jon’s on the north side of the road.

Complimentary chips and salsa while you look over the menu. The salsa was mild not spicy at all

With soda and sweet tea the bill was 37.00.
We have tried a lot of Mexican restaurants between here and Destin and this is one that we will definitely stop at again.
If you like Mexican food I highly recommend.
👍
