Who has had their last day of FP+ cancelled due to making FP+ from 4pm-6:30pm with a MNSSHP ticket?

If I will not be able to make Fastpass+ selections with a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party special event ticket then would you care to explain why I currently have 3 Fastpass+ selections that I made with only having that ticket in my My Disney Experience account?

Now personally I have regular tickets as well but not for that day but I wanted to get the info back for those that do only have a MNSSHP ticket in their MDE.

Again my opinion is... If we are not entitled to it ok but the system should make it so we can't book them at all. Since we CAN book them I'm not going to be "nice" and not take advantage of it while I sit back and watch others take advantage of it.

Honestly, unless Disney is clearly stating that difference between a theme park ticket and a special event ticket on the ticket itself or on their website, it doesn't matter if it said that in an email to an isolated customer. The mere fact that it had to be asked means Disney is not communicating all of this well enough.
Well, when you go to purchase the tickets they have tabs. One tab is Theme Park Tickets. The other is Special Event Tickets.
You actually have to click on the tab for the kind of tickets you want. I think that's pretty clear.

Are you emailing them with the same email address that you use for MDE? If so, they can go in and look at your account and see what you actually have. I'm not saying they will, but they may.

Has the web site always said this ????

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and also have theme park tickets, you’ll be able to start making your FastPass+ selections as early as 60 days prior to your check-in date for the entire length of your stay. Please note that if your stay is longer than 2 weeks, then FastPass+ selections can be made for up to 14 days.

I thought if you had more than 14 days booked at a resort you where able to get as many passes as you had nights booked and park ticket entitlements. For instance you have three resort stays of 5 nights each during a 60 day period.

Probably going off topic here..
But we are going in October with friends who are DVC member.
We bought the "Buy 5 day MYW tickets get 2 days free"
We are only going to be in the parks 5 days.
Does having 7 days of tickets allow us to use the 6 FP's from the other 2 days we aren't using?

Only if you actually go into the park those 2 days using your park ticket to enter. It allows you to BOOK 3 advance FPs per person, per park, per day based on your Theme Park tickets. It allows you to USE FPs only if you enter the park that day with the park tickets. So if you only go to the park 5 days you will only get to use 15 of the booked FPs.

So they really do not want people staying for long vacations or frequent stays at their resorts ...
I wish paper passes would come back but I know that will never happen

Short answer: No.

I think you can book the first 14 days of FPs and then have to go back the next day to book the rest of your FPs for the extra days.

They've always only allowed you to book a vacation package of 14 days. Anything more and you have to book a separate booking. I guess they made the FPs coincide with that.

I'm guessing they are trying to make it fair for the people who are going your last week there. The ones having longer stays would get the FPs way ahead of them before they even have a chance to book theirs.

I thought of that ahead of time so I did not log in to my account when emailing them.
I also gave a shortened version of my first and last name so it's not the name on file with my account. For the phone number I gave my area code and then 123-4567 and the system allowed that. I also had the reply sent to an email address that is not associated with my account.

I decided the other day that I'd play the wait and see game so if somehow the emails I sent do come back to bite me and I get a warning email I will get rid of my FP+ for that day sto avoid having my last day deleted.
If it happens without warning well then that's a chance I'm taking.

Ok good. I didn't want them to be like "we see you don't have such and such..." and you be like "homina homina."

But that still relies on someone picking up on cues. Why dance around it giving hints and expecting people to interpret it themselves? Why not be clear and just say "This is a special event ticket and not eligible for FP". Done.

I get it! :)

I understand everyone's annoyance and confusion, but is it really such a huge loss to not be able to make those 3 fast passes? If you can still enter at 4, just wait stand by (I know, the horrors ;) ) for the rides that aren't open during the party or that are a must do. Between the two different times for the parades, I bet you will still be able to get on a ton of rides during the party. Unless you plan to spend the whole of the party waiting for characters? The only trouble may be with Mine Train - I don't know how long that line is during party.

Good luck everybody! Hopefully your fast passes with be left alone this year.
Are you kidding? You would be surprised at the lengths people will go to get the fastpasses that they want.

Just one more comment on the 4 PM entry with party (i.e., "Special Event" tickets).

The 4 PM entry is the default entry time. It is offered as a courtesy because WDW has found it allows them to better manage the arrival of the crowds entering for the party by spreading out their entrance times into the MK over a longer period. But it is offered with the caveat "based on capacity", which means that, in theory, they could choose to restrict entrance to the MK for party ticket holders to a later time (but not later than 7 PM) if they felt that that would allow them to better manage the crowds in the park.

In practice, party days tend to be less crowded at the MK given the shorter operating hours, which makes it far less likely that the capacity at the MK on a party day would ever cause WDW to restrict entrance to the MK for party ticket holders to a time later than 4 PM.

I kind of agree with this. Sure, it's annoying that the communication from Disney isn't better, but what else is new? In my opinion, if the party goes from 7-12, then you shouldn't be allowed in until 7. If attendance drops, then make it 6-12. Do away with all of these "hidden" extras. Everything else we have been getting (early entry, fastpasses, etc.) has been (unofficial and undeserved) icing on the cake. I know this opinion will be unpopular, but oh well.

Oh, I don't think it's such a huge loss. But I find it utterly ridiculous that they would set up a system that allows people do to so, then arbitrarily claw back the FPs for someone's last day.

FP, no FP. Early entry, no early entry. Whatever. Just state your policy clearly and put systems in place to support it so people know what they are buying. That's all I ask. Some families are spending $400-$500 to attend. I think that would only be fair.

Exactly. I don't think anyone would be devastated or anything. We just want to know. Clearly. Officially.

I agree. They should.

I also don't think they imply anywhere when you purchase Special Event Tickets that you are entitled to FPs with them. The update to the system should help. Maybe when you go to book FPs it will state that.

Has anyone tried to book them since?
