And I refuse to cook chicken breast in either slow cooker or pressure cooker because it always tastes dried out to me.

I think my mom dries the chicken out 90% or more of the time she cooks it regardless of how she cooks it, it's baffling. I don't generally cook it the same way she does so I don't have the same problem :)

I also love my rice cooker but it's a small one, makes 2 cups max, which for 1-2 people is perfect. Really it would be enough for 4 probably. Mom's still getting the hang of this, she's done it right before but earlier in the week we had al dente rice because she didn't put enough water in.

Watching Rebel Without a Cause. It's way more deep than I thought it would be. Also, I swear James Dean had some gray hair in the beginning of the movie. He and Natalie Wood totally look like they should be in high school. And people complained about how old the people on 90210 looked, it was more realistic.

Pei question - how long until a purchase show's pending? I bought stuff at Target with my linked Target debit and it doesn't show anything in the app yet.

Also, I did get my BofA acct linked because I took off the text code at login, linked the acct and then put the text code back on. It's back to being unlinked because of it. I don't understand why it's a problem with them (other than it's BofA, I know) because when I linked Chase it let me request the text code during the signup so it's stayed linked.

I don't know if timing differs by store and I haven't shopped at Target since installing Pei, but so far everything else has come up pending overnight.

New link for Amex 10k MR Pay Over Time: global.americanexpress.com/lending/extended-payment-options/offer?identifier=MHR

It worked on my BGR, which was opened in 11/18. The 10k POT offer did not pull up under Featured Amex Offers when I checked earlier this week. I'm already enrolled for my Biz Plat and Biz Green.

Hopefully this link works for a few folks here! [ETA: May work only on Amex business charge cards.] Easiest 10k MR ever.
no go for me (biz green) and this is also the acct where I got no points at all for purchase...(it's been over 3 months now,I think I'm on the blacklist)

I see Marriott is on the Barclay shopping portal. I have reservations in Hershey for Easter weekend. If I go through Barclay for the reservation, how will that work? Will it track the future reservation until I stay there in April? They are offering 6 pts per dollar so awesome return.

I love my insta pot. I haven't blown up the house yet! Lol.

We use it a ton though. I haven't been as good about being ready so I can use the crock pot to cook all day, so the instant pot is good for that. I want to try it's slow cook function sometime to see if DH and I could get by on that while it's just us, to try and lessen the number of gadgets (tho DH now wants an airfryer, and we got one for his grandma for Christmas so that doesnt help lol). I use the instant pot a lot for rice too, bc I cant cook rice on the stove to save my life. Also make beans, a big batch and then freeze. Have some one pot recipes we like too. Use it a lot for chicken that then gets shredded with the stand mixer. I've seen some people say they think the chicken is rubbery from it, I think someone here too? Weve always shredded it and I haven't noticed anything really, but again I've never done just chicken breasts to eat whole. We got grandma one a couple years ago and DHs aunt one for Christmas. They like to do baked potatoes in them also. I've always got a list of meals to try going!
I have a couple of crockpots I use rarely now...I use my IP almost daily though..... it works so well for so many meals, and I don't have to stand over it stirring like on the stovetop..... last week I made 'refried' beans in there, dry from the canister to ready to eat in 45 minutes:flower1:

I cooked rice on the stovetop for years, no problem. Then someone gave me a rice cooker, which I thought was silly. When we remodeled our kitchen, I had no choice & used nothing but small electric appliances for 6 weeks. Slow cooker, rice cooker, electric frying pan, toaster oven. Once our kitchen was done, never went back to making rice on stovetop. It frees up an extra burner and I’m frequently using 2-3 burners or using 2 large sauté pans that block the rear burners, making them useless. I can tell DS9 to make the rice while I cook dinner, easy peasy.
me too..... I can cook stovetop rice flawlessly also (my Puerto Rican bff's Mom taught me years ago) but my sweet baby rice cooker also gets used 3-4 times a week,it's so simple and perfect. so only two gadgets really but I use them nonstop. ( I just wish I had the room for a kitchenaid mixer)

Thanks. Applied for the CIP using my wife's CIP referral. Got the "we need more time" response. Bummer, as I cut my credit limit on several cards substantially a couple months ago. I did get a new Ink Cash card in Nov/Dec.
I got the same response so hoping it’s just standard.

@SouthFayetteFan I referred dd to Raise (dh already has an account) and made a purchase with the $5. She got an email saying if she makes a second purchase in the next 72 hours, she will get a $10 coupon off a future purchase. Is that right? make a second purchase with no coupon to get the next $10 coupon?
Yep - I believe that was how mine was worded.

What is a good age for LL? I think we may have missed the window.

I think probably under 12 for the most part. I think even as an adult it was cool to see once though. After that, I did dread going a bit, but my boys were still into it. :-) Around 12-13 my daughter stopped going with us and stayed with grandma. My oldest son is almost 14 now would probably still like it, he love legos, is a bit immature, and doesn't do fast rides.

Also, another question please. DH got his Arrival Plus bonus, and we redeemed it for a statement credit for a LMT charge we had for DL tickets. But, so far his balance isn't showing the credit. Does anyone have any experience with using this credit? Does it just take some time? His payment isn't due till March so we can wait and see if it posts, but just curious. Should I have handled this differently?

I did ours a week or so ago, it took 1-2 days to credit.

I have two instant pots. Don’t use them as much as I should but I love it when I do. I do brew iced tea in it every few days. I drink a lot of tea. Love making pasta in it and I do large quantities of chicken to shred for various things.

The air fryer is awesome. I started with one and loved it so much I bought a 2nd. Now I can have 2 things going at once...so salmon in one and Brussel sprouts in the other. I feel like it should have a different name, because the "fryer" part throws people off. It isn't frying at all. And no, my salmon is not breaded...just a normal salmon filet. :)

I just noticed Pei/Dosh double dipped for me for Dunkin Donuts. This pei app is suh-weeeet! I am racking up on the thing and it has only been a couple days. Seems like everywhere is on it!

ETA: I just tried going in to link more of my cards to pei. I tried one of my amex accounts. It logged in but when I hit continue it told me it is a duplicate account and I can only link it once. I double checked my list of cards and only visas were showing...as I have only linked chase so far. So I closed out and tried linking to my other amex account. Same error. Anyone else have trouble linking amex?

Instant Pot is both slow cooker and pressure cooker and also a rice cooker. I have one plus 3 slow cookers. The Instant Pot is pretty fool proof. I’m not even sure you could blow it up if you tried. It’s not scary like the old fashioned ones (my mom’s scared the heck out of me). I pick and choose between Instnat Pot and slow cooker based on what I’m cooking. I don’t always like the texture of things pressure cooked. And I refuse to cook chicken breast in either slow cooker or pressure cooker because it always tastes dried out to me.

Are you doing natural pressure release or manual? Always do natural with meat or it dries out.

OK,now I'm replying to myself. :)

From yesterday until today, the availability of rooms on the American Airlines site changed. Discounted standard club rooms are no longer available at the Grand Floridian for my dates, and there are no discounted club level Animal Kingdom rooms available at all. Both of those discounted rooms are still available on Disney's website, so there seems to be a more limited supply when booking through AA.

It freaked me out a little bit when I saw that those rooms aren't available anymore, so I reserved a room at AKL for $65 + my DW's miles. I still need a second room, but the terms state that AA will charge $30 for any changes, I'm still hoping a club level room will become available, and I'm due to double my AA points around 3/6. I decided to wait on the second room.

The confirmation message and email from AA state to wait 48 hours, then link the reservation to your MDX account. I linked it almost immediately, though, without any problems.

One thing to note about booking through AA is that you need to log in after landing on their travel page, even if you were already logged into your account. Citi AA card holders get a discount, so make sure you have a card active when you make your reservation. With the cardholder discount, the cost is about 1cpp when comparing to the cost of booking directly through Disney.

I'll try to make a nice summary for r/dischurners.
I'm sooooo excited about this! Can't wait to hit my MSR!

This is my 11 year old...I think we should give it a try. Thanks!

quoting myself to see if anyone knows - Can the AU on a CSP transfer points to partner airlines?
I actually don’t know the answer on this one. Are you looking to top off some points in a P2 airline account? (That’s the only reason I can really see why it would matter...if I’m missing a reason why you’d want to do this though, please share)
