PeopleMover is my kind of thrill ride! ~6/30: quick check in!

Also, this would give me a good excuse for a character meet because I – much like @pkondz except for when it comes to certain troublesome little fairies – don’t really do character meets. It’s really nothing against them per se, the waiting in line to do so doesn’t usually appeal to me. Anyway…
I totally get that. I feel that way myself. But you know, kids... :rolleyes1

I can't find this photo on my computer but I'll bring to you the one that now occupies space in my apartment:
Great picture! And I'm impressed that you got to meet 3 of them. Every time I've been they've only had 2.

Guys, this is crazy but I’m obsessed with this ride. I have no explanation but I went on it an obnoxious number of times this trip. And I’m not gonna apologize for it so there.
I can always ride this one a few times. I love it.

During the ride, I also decided to charge up my phone with my phone charger – I highly recommend having one of these things if you’re a smart phone user.
I never leave home without mine.

SE was a complete walk on – woohoo!
That's rare in the day of FP+ Can't turn that down!

This looks amazing! Has anyone seen it yet?! I haven’t and I want to really badly!
No, I haven't. I really want to see it though. I saw something the other day talking about how it has been a box office disappointment from a financial standpoint. I don't know if it set itself up for a potential sequel or spin off or anything, but I'd say the chances of anything happening are sadly low.

When I say a "little bit" you can see from this picture I meant it... not exactly the prime viewing spot, is it?
At least you could tell what they were doing... kind of.

Even with my FP I waited in line for about 20 minutes.
There is no such thing as FP for Soarin. It just takes so long to load-show the film-unload that you're always going to have a bit of a wait to ride.

I'm doing my very best to keep up with all of your PTRs and TRs! My sister (the one who lives in England) will be home for three weeks starting next Monday so I need to get with the program because I'll inevitably fall way behind again soon...
Sounds like a great reason to fall behind. Enjoy the time with your sister!

I love Livin with the Land too....everyone else in the family thinks its boring but I like it!

WOOHOO! You and I have quite a bit in common!
A. Love of Disney
B. Upstate NY girl...and I think I know where that glass museum is....I work at a certain Ivy League just a few miles up the road ;)
C. My sister also lived in the UK for about 3 years. Did you get a chance to visit?

I'll be following along!

All of your F&G pics are making me so anticipatory for when I'll be there next year! Of course, I'll be happy with just a cronut:mickeybar

Why not go over to the Visa Character Spot for a free photo?!

That is an excellent idea! Free pictures are always awesome.

Also, this would give me a good excuse for a character meet because I – much like @pkondz except for when it comes to certain troublesome little fairies – don’t really do character meets. It’s really nothing against them per se, the waiting in line to do so doesn’t usually appeal to me.

Okay, I get not wanting to wait on line, but ... characters are awesome!

I passed the 10 minutes or so by chatting with the couple behind me. They were great, albeit without some boundaries. Let’s just say I can’t believe they let me pose for my pictures with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy without them in it.

I love new Disney friends, but seriously ... boundaries are a good thing!

I can't find this photo on my computer but I'll bring to you the one that now occupies space in my apartment:

The picture looks great! And the frame is really cute, too!

As I drank that I just wandered for a bit, enjoying the atmosphere and soaking it all up.

Best way to enjoy Flower & Garden (and Epcot in general, too)!

I have no explanation but I went on it an obnoxious number of times this trip. And I’m not gonna apologize for it so there.

So ... I haven't been on Living with the Land in 15 years ... so your multiple rides can a little bit make up for my lack of rides.

Since I didn't have a riding buddy, Disney paired me up with this cute cartoon boyfriend:

Spaceship Earth as a matchmaker. I like it.

While I ate, I caught a little bit of the Chinese acrobats. When I say a "little bit" you can see from this picture I meant it... not exactly the prime viewing spot, is it?

Better than the view I had last trip ... aka we got there late and couldn't see them at all from where we were standing, so we left and went on Gran Fiesta Tour instead.

Even with my FP I waited in line for about 20 minutes.

I've had the same experience with Soarin'. 20 minutes in line is still better than an hour, though ...

Enjoy your time with your sister!

Wow....you are getting like me with the major updates! And this one was so much fun.
You're my inspiration, Kathy! ;) Awww, thanks! It was fun writing as well :goodvibes

I'm glad you got your free Disney Visa picture. We've had Mickey or Mickey and Pluto, but NEVER Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. I am officially jealous and what an adorable picture. :)
I keep hearing that it was really rare for me to get all three of these guys! :thumbsup2

You got a lot of rides done and some of my favorites...Figment, Soarin' and Spaceship Earth. And some of your goodies look really tasty as well.
It was a very productive afternoon for sure! ::yes::

Love your selfie. Where are all the people> It looks like you had the park to yourself.
Thanks! Yes, that first day was amazing crowd-wise. Each day got worse and worse towards Memorial Day though...

Great update!! First...the food...that oolong peach bubble tea looks delish...did it have milk in it though? And that chocolate mexican thing looked divine as well!! So did the tart...I want it all!! I think actually your 3 Epcot faves will be mine too...I will confirm that after October since it has been eons since I've been on Spaceship Earth...but looking forward to that a lot. And no need to apologize about repeating the Land over and over...I could ride that all day!!
It was amazing! Yep, I do believe the tea had milk in it. The chocolate abuelita was divine! :thumbsup2 Glad you also like the Land - I'll ride with you any time! :goodvibes

I'm really enjoying your TR :flower3: And thank you for mentioning the bubble tea. I'd like to try that, although I don't see it on any of the regular Epcot menus online :worried: Maybe I can find some here at home :drinking1
Love your photos!
Awww, thank you!!! :goodvibes Do try to find the bubble tea, somewhere! It's so good! I love bubble tea in general so I'm not fussy about where it comes from. But let's be honest, everything's better at Disney, right?!

Same here! I should actually put this in the number one spot on my To-Do list, then maybe i'll try to accomplish it.
Yes!!! Do it!!! It was so much fun! :thumbsup2

You should do more meets! They really are so much fun.
I should... and should have... that was the one and only this trip  (spoiler alert!)

Thanks! Me too :goodvibes

That is really expensive for a non-alcoholic drink  The tapioca balls better come straight from China from that price:lmao:
I know, right?! :rotfl2:
So so true. POTC has the BEST smelling water ever! :worship:
100% agree with ya here! :thumbsup2

Is it the Morphie power pack? I've heard awesome things about those!
Nope, but to be fair I don't know what that is  this one was just a cheap one my travel agent gave me for free... but it got the job done so no complaints here!

Yeah, like a guy with half a head! :rotfl: I've only every gotten a handful of 'complete' head shots on SE, the majority of them are all half heads :lmao:
:rotfl2: True!
Abuelita?! :faint:
It was divine.

Love taking shots like this.
Me too! :cloud9:
Yay for your first DIS meet and double yay for it being with Dugette!!!:cheer2:
I was SO excited to meet her!!! We had so much fun together :goodvibes:goodvibes

Love that. "pounding more F&G eats."
Somehow, something told me you'd approve of that... ;)

That's a really good character pic! I can see why you framed it.
Thanks! :thumbsup2 I'm mighty fond of it myself

I've had bubble tea two or three times. I can't get used to sucking up the "bubbles".
But I love the flavour.
I love the chewy bubbles, I could pass on the "popping" bubbles though...

Meh. We all get obsessed over different rides. This one's yours, for whatever reason it happens to be.
You like it? You go, girl.
:thumbsup2

Okay! Okay! I get it! Really obsessed!
Should I beat it over your head once more, just for good measure?! :confused3

Not I. I have a notoriously poor sense of smell.

Except for coconut. I can smell that in anything.
Oh, no! :sad2: And we all know how much you love that...

Details please? How big? What kind?
Um, does the "Mouse Fan Travel" freebie one qualify as "details"? :rolleyes1

Oh, so close. You almost got a picture of my dad.
DW pointed out years ago how much the centurion(?) looks like him.

 And they lived happily ever after.
Ugh, the darn cartoon boyfriend broke up with me the week I returned home. Said something about "distance" being an issue... :sad2:

Such a loss.
I know... :sad1:

No, but a couple of people have said it was only okay. More of a "wait until it's out on DVD".
Geared more towards the younger (i.e. teen/pre-teen) ones.
Hmmm... I was hoping for more of a "DO NOT WAIT, GO IMMEDIATELY TO THE THEATER AND WATCH THIS VERY INSTANT" kinda response...

There you are! It's been a while since the last selfie!
It really had been a while...

What would have changed my mind was the term "Florida Blueberry and Lemon Curd Tart".

Just sayin'
This actually wasn't the best, but I imagine you're not surprised :rolleyes1

Wow. Wonder what standby was like.
Can't remember but I'm gonna go with "insanity"

You get to meet Dugette??!?
Lucky!
Correction: Very lucky!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

You'll be too busy laughing about waiting in line for the loo.
Well that's true.

We'll miss you too! But we'll be here waiting! :goodvibes
:hug::hug:

I'm starting to wonder about that myself.[/QUOTE]
:rotfl2:

No, I think I was the lucky one. ::yes:: I don't have to tell you how awesome Tracy is, though. :goodvibes
I politely disagree :goodvibes And awwwww

Wow, you got three characters at the Visa spot! That's awesome. I've done it three times now. First time was just Mickey and the second and third time was Mickey and Goofy. I always hope for Pluto of course but haven't gotten him yet. As one who has recently started doing more meet and greets, I highly recommend adding some more to your trips.
I've been hearing how rare it is to have three characters for the Visa meet. I feel so lucky! Yep, I figured you'd always be hoping for Pluto :goodvibes

I am obsessed with both LWTL and SE so I thoroughly enjoyed your pictures. Oh and I think your SE boyfriend is a cheater because he was in my future in December! Shhhh, don't tell my husband.
Yay!!! Glad you enjoyed them. What?!?!?! That jerk! Well, he broke up with me when I returned home anyway... :sad2:

Even more awesome pictures with Figment.
:thumbsup2

I didn't know they did a Tomorrowland preview, that's kind of cool. DH and I saw it on opening weekend and we both loved it. I wasn't even sure what we were getting into because the previews were so vague but was pleasantly surprised. I was sad to see that it has pretty much tanked at the box office, probably because of the vague previews. I'm not sure if I would have gone based on those if it wasn't a Disney movie.
It was in the Captain EO spot so it was complete with minor simulation too :thumbsup2 I'm excited to see it, though I'm sad to hear it's not doing well...

Oh man, more yummy food pictures! And I've still got 20 minutes till lunch time.
Bad timing for reading this, huh? :rotfl:

Love that last topiary shot. pluto:
:thumbsup2

All of your F&G pics are making me so anticipatory for when I'll be there next year! Of course, I'll be happy with just a cronut:mickeybar
:rotfl: Yes, those cronuts are amazing!!! Glad I could help :thumbsup2

That is an excellent idea! Free pictures are always awesome.
They sure are! ::yes::

Okay, I get not wanting to wait on line, but ... characters are awesome!
Well you've got a point there

I love new Disney friends, but seriously ... boundaries are a good thing!
I know! They were great but... give a girl some space :rotfl:

The picture looks great! And the frame is really cute, too!
Awww thanks! :goodvibes

Best way to enjoy Flower & Garden (and Epcot in general, too)!
Agreed! :thumbsup2

So ... I haven't been on Living with the Land in 15 years ... so your multiple rides can a little bit make up for my lack of rides.
Sounds like a good trade off to me

Spaceship Earth as a matchmaker. I like it.
Who knew?! :confused3 :rotfl:

Better than the view I had last trip ... aka we got there late and couldn't see them at all from where we were standing, so we left and went on Gran Fiesta Tour instead.
Oh no! But  on doing the Gran Fiesta Tour instead.

I've had the same experience with Soarin'. 20 minutes in line is still better than an hour, though ...
True!

Enjoy your time with your sister!
Thank you!! :goodvibes

:goodvibes
I totally get that. I feel that way myself. But you know, kids... :rolleyes1
Yep, I imagine kids change everything...

Great picture! And I'm impressed that you got to meet 3 of them. Every time I've been they've only had 2.
Thanks!!! I keep hearing that typically only one or two come out, so I consider myself very lucky! :thumbsup2

I can always ride this one a few times. I love it.
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I never leave home without mine.
It's crucial! ::yes::

A. Love of Disney
B. Upstate NY girl...and I think I know where that glass museum is....I work at a certain Ivy League just a few miles up the road ;)
C. My sister also lived in the UK for about 3 years. Did you get a chance to visit?

I'll be following along!
Woohoo!!!!!!!!!! Happy to meet you, sounds like we do!!!

Why, yes, I do believe I know a certain Ivy League school just down the road...

Yes! I've been fortunate enough to visit my sister twice over the years. And I can't wait to go again :goodvibes Did you get over to the UK when your sister was there?

Page 10! OH MY I am slacking on all my TR's.. But i LOVE Living with the Land and i think i would ride it every day if i could, its a really nice relaxing ride but i just love it too!

Hello!!!
Finally getting to read and catch up!!

Sounds like your first day is off to a wonderful start!!

Love Disney water!!! :goodvibes :thumbsup2
Totally agree!!!

I saw some odd clothing and shoe choices on my recent trip. :confused3

I LOVE that picture with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy - so cute!

Sigh, all that time wandering around World Showcase sounds just about perfect! Add in that lemon blueberry tart and you've got it all!

I'm a huge Living with the Land fan too! I find it very peaceful. And the water smell can't be beat!

Very kind of Disney to fix you up with a nice boy - they really do think of everything!

Great night shots of Epcot! We loved those sparkling sidewalks after Illuminations! Excited to read about your night at MK and a DIS meet!

Hi Tracy!! :wave2:

Why not go over to the Visa Character Spot for a free photo?! This is absolutely inexcusable that I haven’t ever done this. For crying out loud, I’ve been a Disney Visa card holder since 2007! It was high time I got my butt over there and strike a pose with my pals.

I love this meet and it's unfortunate that I've only been once. I either forget about the meet, forget my card, or both

I excitedly showed Mickey my earrings, necklace and ring and he was very excited to see them. He also kissed my hand… no big deal… :rolleyes1

How did Minnie handle this??

can't find this photo on my computer but I'll bring to you the one that now occupies space in my apartment:

img_2051-jpg.102782

Great shot, but is that an awkward senior year picture I see on the wall in the background?

Guys, this is crazy but I’m obsessed with this ride. I have no explanation but I went on it an obnoxious number of times this trip. And I’m not gonna apologize for it so there. Ahhh, first Disney water smell.
The Land smell > Disney water smell, but I enjoy Living with the Land as well. Next time you go, check out the Behind the Seeds tour. It's pretty interesting and "cheap" if I remember correctly.

During the ride, I also decided to charge up my phone with my phone charger – I highly recommend having one of these things if you’re a smart phone user.
Great advice, I do this as well.
Since I didn't have a riding buddy, Disney paired me up with this cute cartoon boyfriend:

img_1037-jpg.102813

As a fellow solo traveler, I look forward to the glimpse of my future and my beautiful cartoon wife.

RIP Robin Williams :sad1:

img_1039-jpg.102816

:( I still can't believe he's gone.

This looks amazing! Has anyone seen it yet?! I haven’t and I want to really badly! Hmmm… might you reconsider iasw now, Rob?!

Saw it and liked it!

Truthfully, this wasn’t my favorite of the selections I tried either. But I headed straightaway to Mexico and got the Flan de Queso con Chocolate Abuelita.
100_2857-jpg.102826

NOMS

Okay, now we’re talkin’. While I ate, I caught a little bit of the Chinese acrobats. When I say a "little bit" you can see from this picture I meant it... not exactly the prime viewing spot, is it?

100_2859-jpg.102828

Glad to see the theme of "Trees of Epcot" is still going strong :)

At this point, I couldn’t decide whether I could handle the Florida Blueberry and Lemon Curd Tart from the Florida Fresh stand or not. But I figured “when in doubt, go for it” so I did...
100_2862-jpg.102830
SUPER NOMS
My sister (the one who lives in England) will be home for three weeks starting next Monday so I need to get with the program because I'll inevitably fall way behind again soon...

How great your sister is visiting! I hope yall have a wonderful time!

How exciting that your sister is coming for a visit. Nice.

OK - working backwards - great day in Epcot! Yay for Soarin to ride right before your DIS meet.

You got some yummy looking food offerings. Both of those desserts look amazing.

Cute pictures on Figment (which I haven't ridden in ages) and I also love your pics from Spaceship Earth. I like the tunnel picture and ...oh yeah....your new boyfriend!

I love LWTL too! There is something about that ride that keeps you coming back for more.

I laughed over your drink comment - a little expense for not being an adult beverage, but it looks tastly all the same.

I love the chewy bubbles, I could pass on the "popping" bubbles though...

Never heard of the "popping" bubbles, or had them.

Should I beat it over your head once more, just for good measure?! :confused3

No! I can't risk losing the few brain cells I have left!
"Oh, look. There's ponzi. He used to write TRs... Now he's a house plant."

Um, does the "Mouse Fan Travel" freebie one qualify as "details"? :rolleyes1

Nope.

Ugh, the darn cartoon boyfriend broke up with me the week I returned home. Said something about "distance" being an issue... :sad2:

The cad!

You were too good for him anyway. He was so two dimensional.

Hmmm... I was hoping for more of a "DO NOT WAIT, GO IMMEDIATELY TO THE THEATER AND WATCH THIS VERY INSTANT" kinda response...

Sorry.

Can't remember but I'm gonna go with "insanity"

:goodvibes
Yep, I imagine kids change everything...

Thanks!!! I keep hearing that typically only one or two come out, so I consider myself very lucky! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

It's crucial! ::yes::

Right?!

I know, I've heard this too. Darn :sad2:

Yeah... kind of

Yep, true. I'm so excited for the extra theaters though!

Thank you!! :goodvibes

Well I'll ride with you anytime you want! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

My dad is from there, so we've been quite a bit to visit my grandparents and aunts and uncles. My sister lived near Colchester...which is a beautiful area! I need to get back over there but it's so expensive traveling with my kids. I guess I'll just have to settle for England at the WS :)

I am loving that Visa/Mickey and Pals picture! I like how you have it framed in your apartment, like your other "family" pictures :) I plan on doing that next trip! I have had the Disney Visa for a while also and need to milk it!

Great Update!! So, what is this magic you speak of about charging your phone while on a ride?? I have a smart phone and Keith and I were just talking about we fully expect them to die while at the parks. I was actually thinking about working in some "charging" time on our trip at some of charging stations that I know are around the parks. However, if I can take care of this while riding on Living with the Land...that is just a dream!! :)

By the way, I'm totally onboard (hahaha...get in onboard...it's a boat...ok nevermind) with Living with the Land...I absolutely adore this ride and I really can't explain why. It's always a must do while at Epcot (preferably a few times).

I hope you enjoy your time with your sister. Fun Fact about me...my Mum is from England :)

All caught up again! :cutie:

I love love love your Epcot nighttime photos! :cloud9:

Indeed. She may have convinced me to get a facepainting next trip.
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I headed over and found the line to be pretty reasonable. I passed the 10 minutes or so by chatting with the couple behind me. They were great, albeit without some boundaries. Let’s just say I can’t believe they let me pose for my pictures with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy without them in it.
Aww, they wanted to adopt you! That's cute! Families never want to adopt me, I'm too big and Shrek-like. :lovestruc

I love this!!!!!!! (I have that same frame, too!) :lovestruc

Pretty pretty pretty! :cutie:

Ahhh, first Disney water smell. If you’ve not yet experienced the wonder that is the smell of Disney water, you’re in for a treat. #bestsmellever
OMG I THOUGHT THAT WAS JUST ME!!!!

Between Soarin', Living with the Land, Sunshine Seasons, and Garden Grill... I always end up spending a lot of time in this building. (It's a also a prime ECV charging spot, so it's fine for me!) :thumbsup2

Since I didn't have a riding buddy, Disney paired me up with this cute cartoon boyfriend:

img_1037-jpg.102813
Whaaaaat! Disney always sticks me with some weird old lady! :confused3

After SE I headed toward Figment which was listed at 15 minutes on MDE but was in reality a walk on. I walked right on to a waiting vehicle.
Typical. :thumbsup2

But I headed straightaway to Mexico and got the Flan de Queso con Chocolate Abuelita.
100_2857-jpg.102826

Okay, now we’re talkin’.
Mmmm, I LOVED that thing! So tasty and different! :goodvibes

t this point, I couldn’t decide whether I could handle the Florida Blueberry and Lemon Curd Tart from the Florida Fresh stand or not. But I figured “when in doubt, go for it” so I did...
100_2862-jpg.102830
I loved this! Did you love it? The tart was good, but that blueberry fluff cream stuff on top was just dreamy! :cloud9:

Even with my FP I waited in line for about 20 minutes.
img_1055-jpg.102839
Also typical! Also, I can't see photos of the queue for Soarin' without hearing Patrick saying "Hell-oh!" Is that weird?
